In October of 2024, I had the honor of photographing Sydney and Kolt’s beach wedding, and last week I got to see them again, this time with Kolt’s family and their sweet new baby girl, Kallyn. 🩷

One of the greatest gifts of this job is getting to witness life beyond the wedding day 🥹

I photographed Hannah and Parker’s wedding in 2023, and last week they invited me back to capture this new chapter with their sweet baby boy, Palmer.

Being trusted to document these milestones, from the excitement of a wedding day to the joy of growing a family is something I never take for granted. Watching my couples’ stories unfold and being invited back to preserve these moments is truly one of the most meaningful parts of what I do.

From meeting on a blind date to celebrating their wedding day at The Mackey House, their story has always had a little bit of magic to it. And this past weekend felt like the perfect reflection of them: thoughtful details, the prettiest blue color palette, custom hats, a full dance floor, no rain, Bojangles and the sweetest nods to their dog, Boots, throughout the day.

Every part of their celebration felt joyful, personal, and so full of love, from quiet getting-ready moments to their garden ceremony and the kind of reception energy you never want to end.

There’s something so special about photographing families while they’re gathered on vacation. I met The Cato/Pyle crew at their Hilton Head rental home, and we walked together to the beach for an easy, joy-filled extended family session with 🐶 Annie, Grace, and baby Marshall stealing the show. 🩷🩵

How could you actually love your clients?

For me, it’s easy.

Because I’m not just showing up to take pretty pictures. I’m being invited into some of the most meaningful moments of people’s lives.

I get to watch grooms tear up when they see their bride for the first time. I get to be one of the first to say, “Congratulations!” after the ceremony. I get to preserve the hugs from parents, grandparents, and best friends that pass by way too quickly.

And then, sometimes, I get to keep showing up.

For the growing bellies. The newborn snuggles. The tiny feet. The wild little personalities. The families who come back year after year and let me watch their story keep unfolding.

That’s why this work means so much to me.

Because these photos are never just about how everything looked.

They’re about how it felt. Who was there. What changed. What you never want to forget.

So yes, I love my clients deeply.

Because they trust me with their memories, their milestones, and their legacy — and I will never take that lightly.
