We are saddened by the news of the passing of our fellow neighbor Fortunato “Nato” Renteria. Nato brought us all in as family with his tacos and beautiful soul. Nato was a staple food vendor here at Verdugo Bar, always making sure everyone was fed. The LA times called us the best "Trivia and Tacos" bar in Los Angeles because of Nato. Our thoughts and condolences are with Nato's loved ones during this difficult time. Rosa, we are with you in this sorrow. Nato's presence has left a lasting impact on the North East Los Angeles community, and his memory will be cherished by all who knew him. I will miss our talks about Guadalajara y chiles. You were the most generous man with the biggest heart. It hurts to know we will be apart, but we will talk soon, we got a margarita waiting for you my friend. te extrañaremos Nato.
