This project is the perfect candidate for “why you should hire a designer.”
We were able to incorporate a few expert tricks to make their narrow and once cramped bathroom appear brighter and a lot larger than it is. A darker floor anchors the light color palette, keeping things open but grounded.
In the kitchen, we incorporated these clients’ love of blue and glass, which also creates a cohesive feel with other rooms in their home.
If you have something you hate about your home, like an inconvenient layout, an area that feels too small, or a cave-like feeling you’d love to send packing, that’s where a designer’s expertise can make all the difference.
Give me a call and we’ll hash out the best approach to your home and start planning a dream transformation.

When every evening feels like a getaway, it makes it really easy to stay home during the busy summer travel months!

When you live in a hot climate, ceiling fans are a must. The challenge is how to make them look good.
For starters, you’ll want to find a way to connect the fan to other elements in your project. If you have black windows and accents, then match the color. You can also play off flooring or hardware tones.
Now, if you want the fan to disappear, go with white. Lighter colors help the fan fade into the ceiling, which is also a great choice if your ceilings happen to be to on the lower end.
The good news is there are so many fan options to choose from, you’ll find something you love for your home (which you’ll appreciate it even more on those sweltering days).

I love a home that brings people together. This open-concept layout seamlessly blends the kitchen, dining, and living areas, creating a perfect space for entertaining, relaxing, and everything in between.
One of my favorite features is the great view of the textured brick wall, which anchors the entire space with character and warmth.
The builder made brilliant use of natural light with generous windows, including transom windows above the cabinets. It’s a subtle touch that completely elevates the space, flooding it with light from every angle.
I have to say, this is a beautiful example of how thoughtful design can transform how a home feels and functions.

Builder: Essential Elements

As we prep for the Fourth, I’m pulling out one of my favorite summer recipes: Sugar-Free Fudge Pops from All Day I Dream About Food @fooddreamer. If you’re looking for a crowd-pleasing treat as you celebrate, this one’s a must!
I make these every year, and they never last long, especially in the Texas heat!
Want to try? Just Google “All Day I Dream About Food Sugar Free Fudge Pops” and save the recipe. You’ll thank me later!
Happy Fourth!

Does your dream home include features for ultimate organization? Then you’ll need a dedicated spot for every item you own.
It’s simple: if things don’t have a spot, then they get left out, which leads to piles, clutter, and a home that feels a lot more chaotic than relaxing.
These days, we’re maximizing every inch with thoughtful storage solutions—built-ins, bathroom towers, and well-designed closets are just the beginning. Toe-kick drawers and pull-out pantries take storage even further, ensuring convenience and organization blend seamlessly into your home’s design.
Which feature is at the top of your wish list?

Want a cozy home? It’s all about layers!
Bring in all the rugs, pillows, art, and throws – things that invite you to come in and get comfortable. These items not only make your house feel like home, but they help other people feel at ease too!

I’ve been working on multi-spec home projects and couldn’t be more grateful for my connections at ProSource. I had to snap this photo with Renee ( )—she’s been an incredible help every step of the way. She handles whatever I give her, rolls with it all, and is an overall fantastic support.

Struggling to make the most of your square footage? Smart design can help.
When this family transformed their formal dining room into an office, it wasn’t just about one space—it meant rethinking how to get more use out of their kitchen too.
With no separate dining room, they needed to find a way to fit a functional, comfortable dining area into the kitchen without things feeling cramped. A built-in banquette was the perfect answer—maximizing seating while keeping the layout open and inviting.
Their love of fun and color shines through in every detail, and because we incorporated timeless elements, this throwback project still looks great today.

Some say accent walls are out—but this project is proof that when done right, they can be timeless.
The key? Thoughtful details and masterful ex*****on. When an accent wall aligns with your personal style and complements the space, it never feels like a passing trend—it feels intentional, elevated, and 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘰𝘮𝘦
