A million years ago when I worked at a portrait studio, seeing a 2-year-old on the schedule meant we all mentally prepared ourselves for chaos. 😂 But now? It’s completely different. Honestly, this has become one of my absolute FAVORITE ages to photograph.
There’s just something so special about toddlers because nothing they do is forced. There are no fake smiles or practiced poses. Every expression is real — whether it’s joy, curiosity, shyness, mischief, or even frustration. They’re still discovering the world around them, and getting to document that stage of childhood feels incredibly meaningful to me.
Nirvaan was such a sweet little guy and I’m so glad I got to meet him the other night! I absolutely fell in love with those big brown eyes and that sweet, sweet smile. 🥹

Like most almost-2-year-olds, he is delightfully busy—curious, energetic, and always on the move exploring the world around him. But in those in-between pauses… he is effortlessly photogenic. Truly as sweet and adorable as they come..

We absolutely adore him. ❤️ And clearly, the camera does as well!

I am so excited for the sneak peeks I’ll be sharing over the next few days! We had the most adorable little portrait party tonight—truly the cutest littles. 🥹
First up is the oldest from my crew tonight… Wilder! This adorable dude was full of personality and had me cracking up the entire time. He loved riding around on his little bike and playing catch with his new friends.

I first met Melody years ago when I was photographing for Dancin Kids, and she was just the sweetest little thing. Getting to stand behind the camera for her again now, as she’s about to graduate, is one of those full-circle moments that honestly never gets old.
She has grown into such a beautiful, confident, and incredible young woman—and I know her parents must be bursting with pride. Even now, I can still see that same adorable little girl in her smile, and it just makes this session that much more special. ❤️
I am beyond honored she trusted me to capture this milestone. Melody, you were an absolute rockstar (as expected 😉), and I hope you love these images as much as I loved creating them.
