The combination of cherry burl figure, wormy voids, and the raw live edge rim gives it a very primal, living presence—where nature is still in control of the form.

This piece was not forced into shape. It was discovered.

The interior holds warmth and movement, while the rim carries the memory of decay and transformation.
Together, they create a balance between refinement and rawness—between what is shaped and what is simply revealed.

No two pieces like this can ever exist again.

Cherry burl transformed into a living form.

This lidded bowl is turned from richly figured cherry burl, where every curve reveals unpredictable grain, movement, and depth that only nature can create. No two sections repeat — the wood tells its own story.

The lid introduces a playful contrast: deep-toned cedar with silhouettes encircling the surface, allowing light to pass through and creating shifting shadows as the piece moves.

The sculpted finial completes the form — simple, tactile, and inviting.

Functional, but not ordinary.
A piece meant to be handled, explored, and experienced.
