What happens when a 90s house gets reimagined for the way a young family truly lives? Pure magic.✨
We opened up the kitchen so pancake mornings and dinner parties flow effortlessly, crafted a living room layered with warmth and personality, and carved out space for piano nights, puppy snuggles, and all the moments that make a house feel like home. 🤗
Every detail was layered with love, warm textures, timeless finishes, and just the right amount of playful charm. Home should always feel personal, inviting, and perfectly you. 🫶🏼

Hey friends! It’s been a minute since we’ve properly said hello (and we’ve got a few new faces around here!), so let’s do a little re-intro!
I’m Meredith, founder, principal designer, mom, and lover of all things marble, millwork, and mixing the old with the new. I started this firm back in 2016 with one goal- to design homes that feel as good as they look. 🤩
Luxury should be lived in. It should work for the way your family actually moves through your home, not the other way around!
That’s why my process always starts with listening—really listening—to how my clients live, what they love, and overall, what makes their house feel like home.
And honestly? I’m always collecting design ideas—on walks, in restaurants, on vacation, even in the hardware aisle! 😂 It’s those little details that spark something and remind me why I love what I do. ✨

Our hearts are with Kerrville and the surrounding Hill Country communities facing the devastating floods this week. The images and stories coming out of the area are heartbreaking, and we’re holding every family, first responder, and small business owner in our thoughts as they navigate the aftermath.

This cheerful little corner’s about to earn its keep this summer!! ☀️💛
Between pool days, lake trips, and kids running in and out from camp (or just the backyard), this mudroom was made to keep up and look good doing it. 🤗
Durable finishes, smart storage, and a playful color palette bring all the function and the fun. Because let’s be honest... the most-used spaces deserve just as much love, especially when school’s out (right, Mom’s?!). ✨

Designed with heart (and a little help from my other half 🤍).
We partnered with my husband’s architecture firm, Hatch + Ulland Owen, to bring this entire home to life, from the layout to the last layered detail. 🤗
Inside, we leaned into soft, natural tones and layered textures to create a calming space that feels both luxurious and approachable. Every decision we made was rooted in functionality and elegance because beauty shouldn’t come at the cost of comfort. ✨✨
And that kitchen? She took home 1st Place in the ASID Awards for Traditional/Transitional Design!! 🎉🎉

Ever hosted a full house and thought, “Why is everyone standing in the kitchen... again?”
We get it!! That’s why smart flow and thoughtful function are everything when we’re designing for entertaining. 🥂
In this Georgetown new construction home, we made sure it all works together—easy flow from kitchen to dining to living, seamless indoor-outdoor moments, and every bedroom with its own bathroom (because no one really wants to share when they’re here to relax). And even with a full photo crew on site, it still felt effortless!! 🤗

It’s modern, yes. But it’s also made to live in. ✨
This kitchen refresh brought in all the function (woohoo, smart storage!) with none of the fuss.
We kept the palette clean and cohesive by carrying the quartz from countertop to backsplash, a streamlined detail that adds sophistication and makes the space feel more expansive. Then we layered in warmth with custom wood cabinetry, brushed brass hardware, and lighting that quietly elevates the whole room.
Design that works hard and looks good doing it? That’s our kind of kitchen!! 😍

This outdoor space isn’t just beautiful, it’s personal. It was thoughtfully designed for this family and the way they love to live. A true one-of-one!
One of the things we love most about being part of a home from the very beginning is getting to design every part of it with real life in mind. How you gather. Where you unwind. What makes your house feel like home—inside and out.

About Us
Meredith Owen believes a well-designed space can transform your life. Combining beauty and function is her most valuable asset as a designer. Meredith attended Texas State University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Family Consumer Sciences in Interior Design. She studied along side one of Austin's premier designers for over 10 years and helped the firm gain recognition in Luxe Magazine, Texas Home & Living and Austin Home Magazine, just to name a few. After many years of designing award winning interiors and with a growing following Meredith decided it was time to start Meredith Owen Interiors. Meredith has worked hard to cultivate a design team that is creative and passionate about giving her client's high quality service at every aspect of their project. Meredith’s team consists of lead designers, Lisha Tuma & Emily Chaney & design associate, Elizabeth Paulovich.
