NEW YARN BASES I’m so excited to introduce 4 new bases coming to the shop that will make their official debut during the Shades of Fall Collection pre-order on 9/16! Let’s take a look at each one in detail. SOLID SOCK Fiber content: 80% Extrafine Merino Wool (19 micron), 20% Recycled Nylon Ply: 4-ply Yardage: 437 yards / 100 grams Weight category: Sock (weight 1 - super fine) The added nylon content in this base really adds to the structure and durability of the fabric it creates. The yarn itself is soft and springy, and dyes up the most matte looking out of all of my bases. LUSH SOCK Fiber content: 70% Extrafine Merino Wool (19 micron), 20% Royal Alpaca (18-19 micron), 10% Mulberry Silk (10-12 micron) Ply: 4-ply Yardage: 437 yards / 100 grams Weight category: Sock (weight 1 - super fine) This base is so smooth and soft without being too slippery. It has a beautiful sheen to it and creates a wonderful drape when worked up. COZY SOCK Fiber content: 70% Baby Alpaca (22.5 micron), 20% Silk (11 micron), 10% Cashmere (16 micron) Ply: 3-ply Yardage: 437 yards / 100 grams Weight category: Sock (weight 1 - super fine) COZY DK Fiber content: 70% Baby Alpaca (22.5 micron), 20% Silk (11 micron), 10% Cashmere (16 micron) Ply: 3-ply Yardage: 246 yards / 100 grams Weight category: DK (weight 3 - light) The Cozy base is SO soft and creates a fabric with seriously incredible drape. I would definitely say it’s on the lighter side of each weight category, so keep that in mind! I can’t wait for you to try these new bases!
