Mended

Been a little busy working on a project in our basement 🤩

Throw back to 3 1/2 years ago when we were dry walling a ceiling for my parents house.

I’m so happy to finally reveal a new piece that’s been around for a little while and is finally finished!
1.) It took FOREVER to find the right hardware. I didn’t want to fill in the third hole on the bottom drawers for the pulls because I wanted the drawers stained, so I had to find JUST the right shaped pull. 😅
2.) Something spilled on the top and I had to sand and repaint at least twice ! 😒

I can’t decide if this would look better in an entryway, a children’s room, or even as an entertainment stand?

Just realized we never showed anyone the before shots of this dresser! Swipe to see how it came to us.

Originally this wasn’t going to be painted at all, but it just wasn’t looking the way we wanted so we decided to use some of that Hampton Olive paint on the drawers and the sides and white wash the rest of the wood that was exposed.

We’re very happy with how it turned out and hope its new owner is enjoying the face lift. ☺️

It’s time to finally reveal the armoire!! ✨

This armoire was a vision from the very beginning! It was so fun to try something a little different and new. We absolutely love this shade of green and really wanted to details to pop! We left the inside as it came to us with its original finish.

Took a break from Mended work to do a little project that’s been on my list for a while, and just in time to grill out for dinner! My son even came out and helped for a while and helped me pick out the pattern.

SOLD!!! We have another piece ready to find a home! The color is tricky to capture but the paint is Mojave which is a silk paint by Dixie Belle Paint Company !!! So it literally is the color of sand! With a dark walnut stain and a few coats of polyurethane on the top.

Not every piece of furniture needs to be mended or painted! Sometimes they just need a home where they are appreciated. This antique dresser went to a customer who uses it for her nursery.

I keep picturing them in a nursery but you could put it anywhere! These brass k***s give it a classy look and the light color brightens up any room.
They are not as crisp and clean as we usually try to get our furniture to look, but sometimes you just gotta embrace the imperfections. Both pieces are solid and will last for years!
