A student told me the other day that while riding the train someone said, "we're going to find a developer on this train today". Sure enough, my student jumped on that train - excuse the pun - and told them he is a developer. And so he got a new opportunity to follow up on.

Two years ago, on one of the those articles proclaiming what are going to be the top sought after jobs, of course developers were right up there. The only thing with those types of articles is that they cause an increase in certain careers because now everyone wants a piece of the pie.

So, as expected, throw a rock around here and you're going to hit a developer. What's important though, is that developers keep their skills up and stay willing to adapt and learn with the passing time and updated technologies. You have to be willing to keep learning and growing... or others will soon pass you up.
