The safety of you and those around you are what I care about most. I’m here to help! Welcome! Protect yourself and your loved ones with these affordable items.

In 2016, I had just moved my then 21-year-old daughter to Florida, to live alone, in a ground-level home, with no security system. Living in my little bubble of the world, I didn't even think about basic self defense items for her. I sat through a Damsel In Defense safety presentation, and literally felt like the worst mother in the world! I knew then and there that I wanted to protect my daughter

Crisis Center North has filed a federal complaint to protect critical funding that supports thousands of domestic violence survivors each year.

After more than 40 years of partnership, the potential loss of funding could impact essential services across our region. CCN is taking legal action to ensure survivors continue to have access to the care, safety, and resources they need.

We recently helped out a resident who had five smoke alarms that started chirping randomly but didnt have batteries to replace. Turns out they were all close to their 10-year expiration date!

Age matters when it comes to your smoke alarms. Check your specific model, but most should be replaced within 10 years of the date on the back of the alarm.

Couple of quick tips:

➡️ Test it weekly (tap the button)
➡️ Replace batteries every daylight savings time change if required
➡️ One inside and outside of all sleeping spaces as well as on each floor of your house
➡️ At least 10 feet from any cooking appliance

Be a safe space.

For your child.
For their friend.
For the young person in your community.

Creating a judgment-free space does not mean removing consequences.
It means allowing honesty without fear of shame.

When young people feel safe to speak, prevention becomes possible.
