A few people have asked why I changed my wedding officiant packages.
The biggest reason is that couples were often unsure which wedding package they actually needed. On my end, I was putting in essentially the same amount of work regardless of which option was selected, so simplifying everything made more sense for both me and my couples.

The timing also coincides with some changes at home. With Tyler's upcoming deployment, I'll likely be taking on fewer weddings and covering additional childcare costs that I don't have when he's home. This is a business and when my costs go up, it has to be considered in pricing.

I'm also continuing to invest in my professional development. I'm currently working toward a double-major Bachelors degree in Divinity and Chaplaincy, while continuing to grow my knowledge and skills in serving couples and families during some of life's most important moments.

My goal has always been to provide a personalized ceremony and a smooth experience from booking to "I do." Simplifying my packages allows me to focus on what matters most: creating a meaningful ceremony that reflects your relationship and your story.

Thank you to everyone who has trusted me to be part of your wedding day. It is a privilege I never take for granted. ❤️

What’s one farm chore you’d happily never do again?
It’s fencing for me. The sheep are easy, but the goats need Fort Knox level fences.

Familiar faces from this morning's Morning Cup Networking meeting. One of the things I enjoy most about networking is getting to know the people behind the businesses. Relationships first, referrals second.
Who else spent their morning networking? Do you have a favorite networking group?

We had some pretty good guesses on our farm chore post, but the answer is... picking blackberries!
A skirt just doesn't offer the same protection as a pair of 5.11 pants and boots when you're battling thorny blackberry bushes. Every scratch, poke, and thorn puncture was worth it, though. Fresh blackberries are hard to beat!

We’ve had a ton of rain and no time to cut the grass. So, I thought I’d do it yesterday after church. Well, this is how far I got before the deck belt broke. Guess I’ll fix that and wait until the rain stops in a week or so to try again.

So, for those of you who don’t know, we’re Pentecostal. Which means Emily is usually doing farm chores in a dress or skirt.
Most of the time, it works just fine.
But there’s one farm chore she somehow forgets requires pants... until she does it once every single year and immediately regrets her life choices.
Any guesses what chore keeps teaching the same lesson over and over?

We were gifted a bunch of fresh produce, and last night's roasted street corn was definitely a win!
Now the question is... what should I do with the rest?
Drop your favorite recipes below. Bonus points if it's something I can freeze or preserve for later!
