Throwback Thursday: Did you know that when ECWC first opened participants could only use one counseling support service?

Since then, ECWC has worked to host a wide variety of support groups held by certified professionals including and not limited to Survivorship, Grief, Men's and Women's groups, and more! ECWC is also home to a number of community groups including Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Linked By Pink, Prostate, and ACS.

Looking to support these necessary programs? Remember us on August 12th, 2025 for Erie gives 2025: https://www.eriegives.org/organizations/erie-cancer-wellness-center

What a beautiful day for fishing! 🎣

Today is the kickoff of our Summer Series sponsored by the Plastek Group and ErieBank at the Cookhouse Pavilion.

We would like to thank Romayne Abbot who generously donated an fishing charter made in loving memory of Richard Zahrobsky who battled cancer. This fishing charter is a beautiful tribute to Richard who enjoyed fishing with his sister. This is truly a wonderful gift marking the launch our Men’s Programming here at ECWC.

Stay tuned for more pictures throughout the day!

It’s ladies night 💃🏼

A few months ago at our Ladies & Laughter show we auctioned off a night on the town including transportation, a sunset cruise, and more. We would like to thank Sara Kim at Lollie & Co. who generously donated her night out back to our center for our participants to enjoy!

We would also like to extend a HUGE thank you to Rupp Limousine, LLC who upgraded the SUV to a limo for transportation tonight. You are amazing!!

Yesterday was Erie Cancer Wellness Center’s Leaf Reveal Day!

Our Giving Tree beautifully symbolizes the generosity that drives our mission. This wall honors community members, both near and far, who have contributed $1,000 or more, committed to a monthly donation, or included us in their estate plans.

This marks the second year of this event, and we’ve already doubled our previous attendance!

Thank you to everyone who took the time to stop by and for your ongoing dedication in serving those impacted by cancer.

serendipity-(noun) finding something good without looking for it

Many people stumble upon our center by accident. They may think it’ll be too much or unwelcome or just plain overwhelming.

But for most visitors? It’s different. How something scary can lead to comfort, joy, and genuine care. It’s more.

Thank you to our friend Roger who wrote and shared this playful poem with us today, his ideas sprung from the fascination of the word ”serendipity” and thoughts of sea creatures in tea.

“The Serendipity Sea” reminds us to find joy in the happy accidents, stumbling, struggling, asking, and moments with one another. Take Roger’s word, enjoy a cup of tea and find beauty in serendipity.
