Good afternoon all!
It’s been a while.
Today I am posting about what I learned in my marriage….. part 2
If you haven’t read Part 1 ( https://awidowinwellness.wordpress.com/2025/10/21/what-ive-learned-in-my-marriage-part-1/ )
yet, I highly recommend starting there first—it really sets the foundation for everything I’ve shared.
Part 2 is now live 🤍 ( https://awidowinwellness.wordpress.com/2026/04/23/what-i-learned-in-my-marriage-pt-2/ )
This one goes a little deeper… into what those lessons actually look like in action.
Thank you always, for your continued support 💜

She’s Exactly Who She Thinks She Is I’ve been seeing these words floating around in comments — from women dancing at Chris Brown concerts to women stepping on stage in bodybuilding competitions. One thing for sure is true: we are exa…
Let’s take a break from bodybuilding and talk about the elephant in the room — love.
This week, I’m opening up about my marriage — the lessons, the growth, and how choosing love (daily) shaped who I am today.
It’s not a “how-to,” it’s my heart — my story of faith, forgiveness, and becoming.

Stage shots are in 🥹
These past two weekends reminded me of two things — God’s timing and undeniable work.
I walked on that stage bringing my best package yet: tighter, leaner, stronger, confident, and covered in grace.
Placings aside…the feedback, the crowd, the support — it all confirmed what I already knew: I did the work, and it showed.
Even when confusion happens on the scoreboard, God doesn’t make mistakes. My title is coming — because it’s already written. 🙏🏾✨
Peak week after peak week, I gave everything I had. Twice. And I’m walking away from this stage knowing I’m not done — I’m just getting started.

✨ New Blog Post is Live ✨
This past weekend, I stepped on stage for my second bodybuilding show. I went in hoping for champion, but walked away with 3rd place—and more perspective than I expected.
In this post, I share what it felt like going in, what it was like hearing my name called, the feedback I got, and how the support around me reminded me that winning isn’t always about a trophy. Sometimes it’s about community, growth, and beating your old self.

Happy Monday everyone!
I hope you’ve enjoyed this past weekend and have an amazing week ahead.
This week on the blog, I’m sharing how I mentally and physically push through an hour of fasted cardio on the Stairmaster.
Spoiler: it’s not really about the stairs or the hour—it’s about the words I speak to myself when things get hard, and how that discipline carries into everything else.
I appreciate the support and feedback, thank you always. 💜🙏🏾
How I Mentally Get Through Fasted Stairmaster Cardio (While Depleted in Prep) 🥵 The Reality of Fasted Cardio After Leg Day Let’s be real: waking up depleted, sore from leg day, and staring at an hour on the stairmaster feels like torture. Add in being 3 weeks out from a…

Fasting, Prayer, and Prep: How Faith Shapes My Discipline One of the rhythms my late husband and I shared was fasting together. Every first week of the month, we would do a Daniel Fast for seven days. The first two days weren’t so bad. By days 3–5, though…
