The Union Rotary Club was honored to hear from Lydia Schoenthal about the Protect Me Project, an important initiative dedicated to helping children and families recognize, prevent, and respond to sexual exploitation.
Lydia shared valuable information about the realities facing children today and the practical steps parents, caregivers, and communities can take to help keep kids safe. Her passion for protecting children and educating families was evident throughout her presentation.
We are grateful for Lydia's willingness to share this important work with our club and for the difference she is making in the lives of children and families throughout our community.
Thank you, Lydia, for your heart to serve, educate, and protect the next generation!

One of the best parts of Rotary is investing in the future of our community.
This year, we had the privilege of awarding scholarships to five outstanding graduates, and we’re excited to see where their next chapter takes them!
Tucker is headed to the University of Missouri to study Sports Management.
Liberty is headed to Kansas State University to study Architecture.
Viola will attend Missouri Southern State University and major in Biochemistry.
Joe is headed to the University of Missouri to study Electrical Engineering.
Lincoln will attend Washington University and major in Biochemistry.
What a great group of students! Their interests range from science and engineering to design and sports, and we have no doubt each of them has a bright future ahead.
Congratulations, graduates! We are proud of your accomplishments and grateful to play a small part in your journey. We can’t wait to see all the amazing things you’ll do in the years ahead.

In May, the Union Rotary Club had the opportunity to hear from some incredible public servants.
We’re grateful for leaders like Angela Gibson and Anne Barry with the Franklin County Auditor’s Office, who work hard behind the scenes to keep our county running smoothly.
We also met Stephanie Norton, Deputy Director for the Franklin County Emergency Management Agency. She wears many hats and keeps countless acronyms straight!
From managing county finances with integrity to preparing for emergencies and helping protect our residents, these women serve with professionalism, care, and dedication. Union is stronger because of people like this who quietly show up and make a difference every single day.
Thank you for taking time to share with Rotary and for all you do to serve Franklin County!
