What is your current battle plan for anxiety? When you are afraid do you call upon the Lord? How confident are you that God hears you when you call out to Him?
Just some questions to consider.
Because of Christ, those who have chosen to make Him Lord of their lives have access to Him 24/7, 365 days. There is never a moment that Christ is not guarding you, interceding for you, justifying you, and protecting you. He has chosen to make the way for you to the Father. And because of this, we can walk in perfect peace and hope because we are not forgotten, forsaken, or left to our own strength and resources to face life here on earth.
Fighting to keep our minds fixed on Him, which according to Isaiah 26:3 keeps us in perfect peace, is a hard battle. We are tossed to and fro day after day and moment after moment to look for peace (or our sense of peace) elsewhere. When we do this, all it produces is more anxiety and more concerns and more fear and unsettling feelings.
What would it look like for you to sit before the Lord and confess all the concerns of your heart today? What would it look like to truly believe and take comfort in the truth that He hears you? What would it look like to trust that He is truly for you and not against you? What would it look like to declare with thanksgiving that He is perfect in knowledge and wisdom, and His plans are truly perfect even when we can’t understand what is happening to/around us?
I often say, no plan is a plan. So what is your plan to run to the Father and take refuge in His help, love, kindness, and protection today? What will your battle plan against anxiety/fear be?
May you choose to include much time of prayer. 💕
Soli Deo Gloria. 🤟🏼

As we come to the end of another year, my heart is full as a result of reflecting on all the Lord did this year.
One thing I have truly come to realize this year is that there is always going to be something hard, challenging, negative, less than ideal, etc. that we can choose to focus on; life is not short of hardships and difficulties. However, when we become so engulfed in such things and forget to acknowledge and praise the Lord for the several good things and blessings, we become so heavily engrossed in our circumstances and our hearts fill up with despair.
Now, please do not get me wrong, it is perfectly okay to acknowledge the challenges and difficulties in our lives. Oftentimes, as we are learning to surrender them to the Lord, we walk through a period of grieving, anger, frustration, questioning, etc. This is the place we cannot stay, though. Feelings are real and valid, yet they do not dictate the truth and/or our true reality, especially for those who are in Christ Jesus.
Lament is a word and a discipline I learned a lot about this year.
Mark Vroegop wrote in his book Dark Clouds, Deep Mercy “Lament is the honest cry of a hurting heart wrestling with the paradox of pain and the promise of God’s goodness. Lament is how we bring our sorrow to God. Without lament we won’t know how to process pain. Silence, bitterness, and even anger can dominate our spiritual lives instead.”
You see, lamenting is how we, as Christians, are called to grieve and navigate life’s hardships and circumstances…

Who or what is it that you fear today?
May we take refuge in the Lord. Read and pray through Psalm 11 today, reflecting on God’s holiness and sovereignty. We are safer seeking rest, help, and hope in Him rather than anyone or anything else.
What would it look like to truly take refuge in Him today?

Even when it’s tough and you cannot see the end of your hardship and pain, we have One we can depend on always: Jesus Christ. He is our Constant Hope - the One who gives us strength to rejoice and cling to His Truth and promises.
For those who have trusted in Christ alone for salvation, let us take heart, today! The Lord is for us and will sustain us until the day we see Him face to face. There will be a day when our pilgrimage here on earth is over - when our strength is whole and sin is no more - and we are united with our Lord forever. What a day that will be; oh, what a glorious day that will be!
Keep seeking. Keep trusting. Keep obeying. And keep rejoicing in the Truth that He sees you, He knows you, He cares for you, He is with you, and He loves you. Christ alone is our hope; because He lives and reigns victoriously, we can face today, tomorrow, and every day after.
Soli Deo gloria! 🤟🏼

Read that again.
"Jesus did not die to increase our self-esteem. Rather, Jesus died to bring glory to the Father by redeeming people from the curse of sin."
We were in great need; we were literally dead in our transgressions (Ephesians 2:1-10). We are not the focus point or superhero of the Gospel; God owed us nothing and we did nothing to deserve this gift of salvation. God wanted us to know who He is and to see His glory through the greatest gift of love that has ever taken place. The fact God chose to show us His great love and mercy so that we may be able to see Him and know Him will forever put me in a place of awe and wonder.
Praise God for this truth today!

It's Friday and you know what that means!... we've gotta GET FIT! 💪😆
Nothing can ever remove the peace and love of God from those who are in Christ Jesus. By His blood we have been redeemed, and we can walk in confidence of this truth no matter the circumstance we are facing.
It may be hard to believe this truth sometimes, but we must remember that our feelings do not dictate what truth. In Christ alone we have been redeemed and made new, and by His blood we have hope eternally and can rest in the unconditional, eternal love of God. May we seek to rest in His Word and truth, even when life's circumstances tempts us to doubt the love and peace of God that has been given to us through Christ.
Spend some time reading and meditating on Ephesians chapters 1-3. Think, dwell, and reflect on the ways you have recently seen God's grace, love, and peace carry you through life. Spend some time in worship and praise, thanking God for the ways you have so specifically seen His presence in your life. And thank Him for the gift of true and eternal life you have received through faith in Christ alone. We have been given far more than we can ever truly comprehend. He is worthy to be praised, friends; He is so, so worthy to be praised.

Walking through singleness can be incredibly lonely, frustrating, discouraging, and confusing. For multiple reasons. And it’s okay to acknowledge these things and the reasons why you feel the weightiness and hardship of it.
Singleness is not a reflection of your worth, value, identity, or purpose. Singleness does not mean God loves you any less or is withholding a good, precious gift from you. Singleness does not mean that God does not see your desire or doesn't want to give you the gift of marriage one day. Singleness does not mean that you must work yourself to death, have no boundaries, feel less important or worthy of developing healthy disciplines and rhythms in your life, etc. Singleness does not mean that you are all alone and have to resort to the constant feelings of inadequacy and loneliness.
Feelings of inadequacy, loneliness, insecurity, discouragement, less than, etc., do not disappear when you gain a healthy, good, and meaningful long-term and marriage relationship.
Your hope, purpose, satisfaction, and worth cannot and will never be able to come from another person other than Christ. In the season of waiting, you must fight to commit yourself to the Word and prayer, to find your identity and purpose in Christ, to seek what God wants to do in and through you during this time, and to rest in the comfort of His gracious and merciful arms.
God does not expect you to not struggle with this unfulfilled desire or to carry the weight of this hardship by yourself. He does not expect you to walk through this season alone or perfectly, nor does he want you to try to hide or cover up the struggles and heartache. Take your heart, your thoughts, your feelings, your concerns, your hopes, dreams, and desires all to Him, surrendering them and seeking His help to walk through them.
Yes, it’s heavy. Yes, it’s hard. Yes, it’s discouraging, confusing, full of heartache and so many other emotions. BUT the Lord is faithful, and He is with you. He loves you, He cares for you, and He will give you all that you need to walk in His ways every step of the way; His grace truly is sufficient.
