Bullard finishes ninth in UIL Lonestar cup standings! That puts your Panthers in the top 4% of all 4A schools in the state for UIL team success!!
For those who might not be familiar with the Lonestar cup, these standings, encompass all UIL based sports for boys and girls, as well as to one act play, to marching band, debate, UIL film, Cheer, etc.
Schools can earn points for district championships and playoff advancement across all of these events, and the points are totaled at the end of a school year to crown an overall winner for each classification. To finish in the top 10 is an incredible honor, worthy of our students, teachers, and coaches. It is truly a demonstration of excellence across UIL extracurriculars at Bullard High School.

The annual Smith Countywide Cleanup grew this year, resulting in more than 274 tons of solid waste taken to the landfill for free by more than 1,000 residents.
“The project is growing,” Smith County Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Johnson said.
Johnson, who runs the Environmental Crimes Unit, said about 100 more people took about 20 more tons of bulky garbage items in 2026 than they did in 2025.
The Countywide Cleanup is held every year in April to coincide with National County Government Month. Smith County residents are allowed to pick up a voucher to take one load of bulky items to the landfill for free. This year’s project cost $22,820. It is partially funded by a grant from the East Texas Council of Governments
“I believe this is a good project to have every year,” Johnson said. “It provides an efficient and cost-effective opportunity for residents to properly dispose of unwanted material and improve the cleanliness of this community.”
