Here is an update of what is happening today for the college of engineering and computer science!
At 6:00 there is an engineering resume workshop in room RBS 1031
This workshop will have active engineers in society critiquing your resume, and tell you what they look for.

ASCE is having their last event for spring this Thursday, May 2. Come out to Harvey Lake for one last Cook-out!! They will be grilling and eating at 5:30pm!! Co****le tournament, free food, and friends: Someone make a plan to throw "that friend" into the lake.
They will also be discussing details for next year's concrete canoe. If you are interested in joining the canoe team, be there!
If any you are looking to save yourself from boredom this summer, get an internship!!!!
This Thursday, April 11 some local companies are coming in to talk to YOU about summer jobs. Representatives are coming from Freese and Nichols, Adams Engineering, and TxDOT (all engineering places) and you don't want to miss out on meeting them. Bring your resume if you feel so inclined, but definitely bring your A game to impress!
So come to RBS 1031 at 4:30pm (not am) for a grand ole time.
Congratulations to the ASCE canoe team who placed First at Regionals this past weekend with "Chip Shot." They are advancing to Nationals! They beat UT Austin, A&M, Texas Tech, and many other schools from Texas and Mexico.
Next spring they plan on taking the gold for the third year in a row, so if you want to be a winner talk to Erin Hostetler!
Dr. Mason from the chemistry dept is coming to speak to ASCE on Thursday about civil engineering in RBS 1031 at 4:30
Today at 5pm ASCE is having a send-off party for the Concrete Canoe team! They are going to be grilling out at the Harvey lake deck so come out for some free food!!
They will have their canoe out on display so you will get to see what UT Tyler is bringing to Regionals and hopefully to Nationals!!

ASCE is hosting a ZOO trip! This Saturday, March 2nd! The cost will be depend on how many students want to sign up, but their will be a discount! So bring your friends! Cotton balls (original packenging)
Q-tips (original packenging)
Paper towels (original packenging)
You can drop off your donations in the Student life and Leadership office (UC 3400) from 8-5

ASCE is having its first technical meeting this Thursday at 4:30 pm in RBS 1031.
Gordon Venable is coming from Lindale, TX to talk about the company he's currently working at; Mueller Inc.
They are going to have free food so you don't want to miss out!!
