NASRO is honored to recognize Officer Cody Christensen of the Twin Falls Police Department (Idaho) as the Exceptional Service Award winner for Region 10. Region 10 includes Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Utah, and Wyoming.

“Officer Christensen is quick to act and support teachers and admin whenever support is needed. If I ever email him with a concern, he is quick to respond and meet the needs to ensure students can learn safely. Officer Christensen also makes intentional efforts to build relationships with students and staff at our school. He visits classrooms each week around the school to wish students a happy birthday and makes it a point to tell the student he is glad they are here. Finally, Officer Christensen makes time to teach lessons to our students about valuable topics such as digital citizenship, cyberbullying, and safe online behavior. Officer Christensen goes above and beyond his duties and expectations as a school resource officer, and is more than deserving of this recognition."
