Friends and family,

I hope you had a relaxing Thanksgiving. I wanted to take a moment to update you on the election. Although the Registrar has not yet finalized the results, I regret to say that I will not be serving another 4 years. I am so thankful for everyone that supported me. It was pretty amazing to see so many signs in the lawns of people who know me and appreciate the work I have done over the years. I am truly grateful for all the people who put their own names behind me on my list of endorsers. Every person whose name was on my list, requested to be there and that touched my heart more than I can ever say. I am proud of the campaign we ran and I did it my way- with integrity and not getting in the mud. I am disappointed to leave the position but excited about the opportunities that lie ahead. I may not be on the School Board, but I will continue to serve and support our community.

Thankful to the Brea Education Foundation for providing this assembly for BOUSD students. I have received feedback from students, parents and staff that this was an impactful experience.

Safety is a priority for me. That is why I took off a day of work to attend the Orange County conference on fighting the Fentanyl crisis. It is put on by a partnership of many Orange County agencies including OC Scheriff and Department of Ed. Looking forward to sharing what I learn!
Fun Fact: Did you know….my husband was in the same academy class as Sheriff Barnes? Yes!
