Working on some glue ups since it’s warm enough to use the really stinky stuff outside with my cofounder who seems to have slacked off and taken (another) nap. This WILL come up in his performance review but don’t worry, his position is secure thanks to being cute.

Finished up this big axe last week for James Tolbert in Muskogee. Thowfile done by the one, the only, the incomparable Gabe Grenell. I’m on vacation now for the next two weeks from school so hopefully many more axes to come!

Last one for this weekend! This one is on a reforged half hatchet (sadly I don’t know how the blacksmith was for this one) for Chris Kendig. He said he wanted something cool and geometric so this is what I came up with. I have a weakness for repeating patterns and I’ve been wanting to try this pattern for a while so I figured this was a good chance to try it out.

Woods used:
Core: ash
Scales: padauk and black limba
Wedge: walnut

Got two more done yesterday. One for Jimmy Grindle and one for Cameron Thoms. Jimmy asked for an axe that screams “MURICA” and Cameron loves these reforged craftsman heads with some sexy zebrawood.

Finished this one up this morning. Head is a gen 1 bullmag nuke head and the handle is tatajuba, walnut burl, black-dyed maple veneer, and Patagonian rosewood. Thanks for looking!
