Making Him Known | Bible Study 🎙️To make God known through His Word. Tips & Teaching

04/16/2026

Jesus tells His disciples:
“If you have known me, you have known my Father.”
They don’t understand.
Philip asks to see the Father—
and Jesus responds:
“Whoever has seen me has seen the Father.”
This is not just teaching.
It is a claim about who Jesus is.
And later, when Pilate asks, “What is truth?”
the answer is standing in front of him.

John records 7 “I am” statements from Jesus.
“I am the bread of life.”
“I am the light of the world.”
“I am the door.”
“I am the good shepherd.”
“I am the resurrection and the life.”
“I am the way, the truth, and the life.”
“I am the true vine.”
Each statement begins with “ego eimi”—echoing God’s words in Exodus 3:14.
These are not just metaphors.
They point to Jesus’ identity.
He is not simply a messenger of God—
He is the one who reveals Him.
And in John 14:6, all of these come together:
“I am the way, the truth, and the life.”

Just Do the Word: Clean Hands, Pure Hearts 04/10/2026

We love the promise:

“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.”

But James doesn’t stop there.

He shows us what that actually looks like:
Clean hands.
Pure hearts.
A life no longer divided.

This isn’t about trying harder.
It’s about living aligned—on the outside and the inside.

In this week’s Just Do the Word, we walk through what James 4:8 really means and how to live it out in everyday life.

Just Do the Word: Clean Hands, Pure Hearts James 4:8 calls us to clean hands and pure hearts. This post explains what that means and how to draw near to God through daily obedience and a surrendered life.

Jesus says, “I am the truth.”
Not one truth among many—
the truth.
In a world where truth is often treated as relative, Jesus makes a direct and exclusive claim.
Truth is not based on perspective or experience.
And Jesus doesn’t just teach truth—He says He is the truth.

Jesus didn’t answer Thomas with directions.
He pointed to Himself.
“I am the way.”
Not a way.
Not one of many ways.
The way.
In John 14:6, Jesus is not offering a path—He is making a claim about who He is.

John 14:6 Explained: Jesus the Way, the Truth, and the Life 04/06/2026

We hear it often: “I am the way, the truth, and the life.”
But what did Jesus actually mean?
In John 14:6, Jesus does not point to a path—He points to Himself.
This is one of the clearest and most exclusive claims He makes.

John 14:6 Explained: Jesus the Way, the Truth, and the Life Jesus’ statement in John 14:6 is one of His clearest declarations: He is the way, the truth, and the life. This study explores what that means and why it matters.

Just Do the Word: Submit, Resist, and Draw Near (James 4) 03/30/2026

James gives three simple instructions—but they go deeper than they seem:

Submit.
Resist.
Draw near.

We often want victory without surrender… but James shows us the order matters.

When we submit to God, we stand under His authority.
When we resist, we stop giving space to what pulls us away from truth.
When we draw near, we step into real relationship—not just knowledge.

This isn’t complicated.
But it is intentional.

This week, don’t just read the Word.
Let’s do the Word. Read full post.

Just Do the Word: Submit, Resist, and Draw Near (James 4) James 4:7–8 gives three connected commands—submit to God, resist the enemy, and draw near. This post explores how these shape daily obedience and relationship with Him.

Believe and trust. That is where life begins.

Will we believe?

Will we trust Him?

Will we place our lives in His hands?

Because for those who do, the promise is life.

Not just life that never ends, but life that begins now in knowing God.

John 3:16 is not just something to understand. It’s something to respond to.
God has already acted. He gave His Son.
The question is, will you believe?
To believe is to trust Him. It is to turn from sin and turn toward Him.
If you recognize that you’ve been living apart from God, you can come to Him now.

Faith is more than believing facts about Jesus.
It means trusting Him.
Relying on Him.
Placing your life in His hands.
The Greek word pisteuo means to entrust yourself completely.
This is the kind of faith Scripture calls us to.

Just Do the Word: Showing Mercy Without Favoritism (James 2:1) 03/20/2026

It’s easy to love people who think like us.

But what about the ones who don’t?

James 2:1 confronts something we often overlook—favoritism in our own hearts. Not just in status, but in how we treat people who see the world differently.

True faith doesn’t just defend truth.
It shows mercy.

Just Do the Word: Showing Mercy Without Favoritism (James 2:1) James 2:1 calls believers to reject favoritism and live out mercy. True faith is not just what we believe—it’s how we treat others.
