Growing up, I would often go hunting with friends and I always enjoyed seeing how active things got once you had settled in to your spot. The forest/field, wherever we were, would come alive once we had settled in and been quiet for a while. The hunt was exciting but I always wished that I had my sketch book with me in those moments.

I was often thinking back on those early hunting trips while working on this project—a series of spot illustrations completed for a hunting app a few years back.
