A 127-unit affordable housing development broke ground in North Tulsa this past January with planned opening in March 2027. We Are Society Executive Director Jerry Rodriguez emphasized the importance of expanding affordable workforce housing options for Tulsans, “As we know, rent prices keep increasing and market rate is extreme nowadays. Being able to support the working force is the main impact we are looking to make.”

National affordable housing developer to bring 1,000 units to Oklahoma Dominium is expanding to Oklahoma with plans for more than 1,000 affordable units as construction on its first developments in OKC are underway.

Get your permit questions answered faster with less parking hassle at this temporary satellite location, no appointment necessary!

Development Services is offering permit services outside of City Hall during the month of June to make it easier to get help right where the building community is.

On-Site services include:
• Permit applications and processing
• Permit questions and troubleshooting
• Residential plan review support

Oklahoma has historically underutilized the 4% LIHTC/private activity bond program, resulting in more than $500 million in expired or unused multifamily bonds between 2019-2023. Housing Forward is working to make policy changes to keep these federal dollars in our state and invest them in housing in Oklahoma.
