"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you." Mt. 7:7

After Pilate sentenced Jesus (on the 16th day of Abib), He was “from then on…handed over to the Roman Soldiers” (Jn. 19:12,16). We are not told how long—for how many hours or even days—"from then on” was. He was patently not crucified on the same day He was sentenced. It is quite obvious that our Savior did not die on a Friday and resurrect on a Sunday. The fact is there was not even a seven-day week calendar at that time in history and there is no mention of any pagan named days of the week in the Bible. The Hebrews of that time followed the Biblical calendar as observed in the lights of the firmament (Gen. 1:14-18), not a "sol invictus" Roman/Gregorian calendar that didn't even exist then. We know He was crucified during the Feast of Unleavened Bread on the day before a “special sabbath” (Jn. 19:31,42; Mk. 15:42; Lk. 23:54,56). So, on which day of the Feast was He crucified? Stay tuned for true crucifixion day...

Today (April 18th, 2026) is the 16th day of Abib, the true and Biblical day of First Fruits. On this day the priest was to wave a sheaf of wheat before all of Israel and sacrifice a lamb without blemish (Lev. 23:9-14; Ex. 12:16).

Jesus spent the entire day and following night of the 15th of Abib, the sabbath and opening ceremony of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, in the dungeon of the Sanhedrin (see previous post). After His 24-hour confinement in the pit of the Sanhedrin, Jesus was brought out on the day of First Fruits at daybreak to be tried before the council of the Sanhedrin (Lk. 22:66; Mt. 27:1; Mk. 15:1). He was then taken to Pilate, then to Herod (Jn. 23:6), then back to Pilate. “On this day” of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the day after the opening ceremony of the Feast, it was the tradition to release a prisoner to the people (Mt. 27:15; Mk. 15:6; Lk. 23:17; Jn. 18:39). As Pilate waved Jesus before the people of Israel, they shouted “Crucify Him!” He was accepted as the “grain of wheat that would fall to the ground and die” (Jn. 12:24) and the “Lamb without blemish,” the sacrifice once for all. For “we are redeemed…with the precious blood of Messiah, the lamb without blemish or defect” (1Pet. 1:18-19). He was finally sentenced by Pilate at noon, the 6th hour (Jn. 19:14), and “FROM THEN ON… handed over to the Roman Soldiers” (Jn. 19:12,16). But He was still not crucified on this same day for that would be impossible since Pilate sentenced Him at the 6th hour/noon (Jn. 19:14) and Jesus was crucified at the 3rd hour/9am (Mk.15:25). So on what day was He crucified? (Hint: it wasn’t a Friday).

Today (April 17, 2026) is the 15th day of Abib! This day is the opening ceremony (sabbath) of the Feast of Unleavened Bread also called The Feast of Passover. (Lev. 23:6-8, Lk. 22:17; Mk. 14:1,12).
Jesus was betrayed by Judas and arrested the night of Passover (14th of Abib) by the Temple Guards (not the Romans, Lk. 22:52). He was first taken to Annas and then to Caiaphas (Jn. 18:12-13,24), stood before the elders by whom he was interrogated, beaten, mocked, and then lowered into the dungeon of the Sanhedrin (Mt. 26:57-68; Mk. 14:53-65; Lk. 22:65; Jn. 18:12-14, 19-24). The next day was the 15th of Abib, a special sabbath and the opening celebration of the Feast of Unleavened Bread (15th of Abib, Lev. 23:6). As such Jesus would have been left there in confinement all day with no light, food or water. Again, He was not crucified the day after Passover. This would have been impossible since He was crucified at the 3rd hour (9am) (Mk. 15:25), but not condemned by Pilate until the 6th hour (noon) (Jn. 19:14).

04/16/2026

Today (April 16th, 2026) is the 14th day of Abib and this evening is the true Biblical Passover (Lev. 23:5; Ex. 12:6). The Bible instructs that Passover is to be observed on the 14th day of Abib (not a Friday). All of the synoptic Gospels tell us that Jesus celebrated the Passover meal with his disciples the night He was arrested (Lk. 22:7-15; Mk. 14:12-18; Mt. 26:17-20). In fact Jesus said, “I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples... and when evening came Jesus was reclining at the table with the Twelve …” (Mt. 26:17-18, 20). Therefore, He was not crucified on the Passover (14th of Abib) as many Bible teachers claim. Neither was He crucified the following morning at 9:00 a.m. (the 3rd hour). It would have been impossible since Pilate did not condemn him until noon, the 6th hour (Jn. 19:14). It would also have been impossible for all the recorded events to have taken place that quickly. Even so, there are many who teach that Jesus was crucified on the Passover, neither did He observe some imaginary "other Passover." So why this confusion? Stay tuned for the rest of the story…

Hosanna! Today (April 12, 2026) is the 10th day of Abib as counted from the star of Abib. Today is the true day of Jesus’ Triumphant Entry. This day will fall on a different Gregorian calendar date every year because the Gregorian calendar does not follow the Scriptural counting given to us for signs and seasons by the Father of Lights. We are told in the 4th Gospel that it was six days before Passover (the Feast of Unleavened Bread) that Mary anointed Jesus’ feet. This would have been on the 9th day of Abib and it was the “next day” that Jesus entered Jerusalem. Therefore, He entered Jerusalem on the 10th of Abib.
“Six days before the Passover, Jesus arrived at Bethany… then Mary… poured it on His feet… The next day a great crowd had come for the Feast (of Unleavened Bread)… They took palm branches and went out to meet Him, shouting “Hosanna!” (Jn. 12:1,4,12). According to the law of Moses, the Passover lamb was selected and brought into the house on the 10th day of Abib.
“On the tenth day of this month each man is to take a lamb for his family, one for each household… Take care of them until the fourteenth day of the month, when all the people of the community of Jacob must slaughter them at twilight” (Ex. 12:3,6).
Why is this significant? Jesus’ “Triumphant Entrance” into Jerusalem was on the 10th day of Abib, the very day the Passover lamb was chosen and brought into the house to be cared for until the Passover dinner on the evening of the 14th (Ex. 12:3,6).

Happy New Year! Today (April 3, 2026) is the 1st day of Abib, the Creator's New Year and begins the count for Passover. The Creator hung His calendar in the firmament, it does not hang on a wall.

So... this morning the star of Abib (Spica) was following the moon as it set...

Jesus did not enter Jerusalem on "Palm Sunday," nor even in the month of Nissan (the Akkadian god, Marduk), He entered on the 10th day of Abib. Mary anointed Jesus "six days before the Feast of Passover" (Jn. 12:1) and the Bible states it was the next day He entered Jerusalem (Jn. 12:2). The Feast of Passover (Unleavened Bread) begins on the 15th of Abib (Lev. 23:6-7). Therefore Mary anointed Jesus on the 9th of Abib and the "next day" was the 10th of Abib. Why is this significant? Because the 10th of Abib was the day the Passover lamb was chosen and brought "into the house." (Ex. 12:3,6). Follow the Bible not the Roman/Babylonian calendar, nor the rabbinic talmudic calendar, they are both false!

WE SEE THROUGH A GLASS DARKLY.
Do not be afraid to examine everything, for Truth is capable of defending itself. Do not be afraid to examine a matter without fear. “He that answers a matter before he hears it, it is folly and shame to him” (Prov. 18:13). Self-ascribed guardians of doctrine and theology are quick to call everyone who does not agree with them “false teachers,” as if they are the only ones qualified to determine right doctrine and the only ones who “rightly divide the word of God.” But here is a news flash to all would be "guardians of doctrine": we are not saved by right doctrine, but by the Blood of our Messiah alone. Even so, He did say that we will have to give an account for “every careless word” (Mt. 12:36). We will therefore be judged by our words of false accusations, unrighteous judgement, gossip, condemnation, and slander (Ps. 101:5). Jesus said, we will be judged and condemned in the same manner that we judge and condemn others (Mt. 7:1-2). The only men Jesus rejected, insulted and goaded were the pharisees and sadducees who “knew the law and right doctrine.” It seems prudent therefore to be slow to insult, pass judgement on, or break fellowship with a brother over issues of doctrine and most certainly over issues of politics. Herein lies the only uncontestable doctrine that is incontrovertible and without compromise: He is the Word who is God (1Jn. 1:1), was born of a virgin, crucified, risen and is coming again; the Ten Commandments of Moses still stand (Mt. 5:18; Lk. 16:17); Paul and the Apostles limited the requirements of the early believers to these things: to abstain from meats offered to idols (cannibalism), from consuming blood and eating meat of strangled animals (life is in the blood), and from all forms of fornication and sexual sin (Acts 15:28-29); and finally, we are commanded by Jesus to love one another (Jn. 13-15). He said, “The greatest commandment is this: First, love YHWH with all your heart, mind, and strength. And second, love your neighbor as yourself” (Mk. 12:30-31). Let us therefore be willing, even unafraid, to examine everything that pertains to life and holiness and in the process love one another deeply for we see through a glass darkly (1Cor. 13:12).
