I know this picture is so blurry BUT I wanted to share it anyway. I painted this vanity and Fruits of the Spirit sign for one of my girls several years ago. We stored this sign when we were in the process of moving and it came up missing -- she's still so sad about it.

Look at this old photo I found from the first dresser front I ever did. This was such a fun project and popular at the time but this was about 14 years ago! Man, where does the time go?

She is smart, funny, caring, intentional, and has the kind of heart that notices the little things others often miss. She loves animals, works hard every single day, and carries herself with such kindness and grace.

We are so proud of the person she is and so grateful to get to call her ours. Watching her grow into who she is today has been one of life’s greatest gifts.

Do you remember when these type of signs were every where?! This style of sign kept me busy there for a bit and I was so grateful for the work.

One of my very first designs I ever shared on social media came from a custom order I did for a client. We went back and forth several times to get everything just right, and I remember being so excited to finally bring it to life.

Not long after posting it, I got my first real taste of seeing others copy my work. At first, I was honestly upset—I didn’t understand it, and I didn’t know anything about copyright, business, or protecting designs. I just knew I loved to paint. LOL.

Somewhere along the way, someone told me to see it as a compliment… and that really shifted my perspective.

Fast forward nearly 15 years, and I still see versions of that same design floating around—some almost identical, some with small twists where others have made it their own.

It’s a strange feeling looking back, but also a reminder of how far I’ve come since those early days of just creating because I loved it. ❤️
