Kya said her favorite TV show is The Golden Girls and she's Rose because she is one of the sweetest dogs ever! She did say, however, in her younger days she was Blanche! 🤣 She's 13 years old and needs a hospice adopter or foster to live out her remaining days. Kya doesn't do much except sleep, so she would be a perfect dog for a quiet household or an older person. To adopt Kya, contact Dr. Sarah Gordon at (405) 714-2498. Located in Bartlesville, OK.
Maugrim is a very scared one-year-old female Husky who needs a patient adopter or foster who'll let her decompress and grow confident and comfortable. To learn more about Maugrim, contact Dr. Sarah Gordon at (405) 714-2498. Located in Bartlesville, OK.

UPDATE: ADOPTED!
COURTESY POST. CONTACT NUMBER BELOW: Shadow’s owner passed away and his elderly Mom needs to find him a loving home as there’s no one in the family to take him. He’s a Malamute mix, neutered, and good with small dogs (all he’s ever been around); he’s not been tested with cats. Loves people, never been around small children. He’s a fence jumper, so a 6-foot privacy fence is a must. Contact Susan at 918-397-1671.

BE KIND! We’ve banned two people in two days. Why? Because when our answers to them weren’t what they wanted to hear, they began berating us, cussing, and telling us we were a f’ing joke. It’s unacceptable.
When people tell us if we don’t ‘take a dog they rescued they’ll dump it back on the streets,’ it shows us exactly what kind of animal lover they really are. When they tell us their dog they’ve had for years ‘will be killed at the pound if we don’t take it,’ it makes us sick to our stomach to know there are such heartless people in the world. When we share links on what to do with a lost dog, we’re told it’s not enough. When we tell them, we’re full (and we are), we’re told our rescue is a joke.
Let me tell you something about rescues. There are two kinds: those who take every dog, every request, regardless if they have room or funds to care for them and they eventually end up on the evening news or an episode of Hoarders; and then there’s responsible rescues who have to say no because they’re full. We are the latter—we know our limits. It’s heartbreaking and we wish we could save every single one. But if the inn is full, it’s full; there’s no way around it, and we all work for a living. Unfortunately none of us have deep pockets to provide for every dog in need.
So please, when you ask for help, remember there’s a living, breathing person on the other end of your request who is tired of hateful, heartless people with a distinct lack of manners.
Be kind. ❤️

Educate yourself. tiny.cc/covid19pets ❤️
Help us spread the message: Pets don’t spread COVID-19! We’ve read distressing reports of pets being dumped at shelters over these unfounded fears. Shelters are already facing an overpopulation crisis, so please, if you can foster, do. If you can donate, give. If you can help, give them a hand. Together we’ll be stronger. ❤️
