First attempt at coiled art yarn 🧶 long way to go but happy with it considering I only started spinning in the last few months. Im sure there’s tons technically wrong but that’s ok 😊
A friend found this batt at a flea market on the way to Eureka Springs. It’s wool and sari silk - I don’t know who made it unfortunately.

Started tonight…

Day 1 at Fiber Fest: we processed an entire fleece starting with picking, then we tumbled, washed and then dyed. We left some natural and then dyed the rest - in the last picture you can see almost everything we processed - two racks (one color was still dying so there were a couple of more racks added after this. That was just the morning! In the afternoon, we did 4 wet felting projects: a dryer ball, a trivet and a small purse/bag and a vessel (bowl).

And I can’t forget the beautiful peacock 🦚. Such a great day 😊.

Here’s the single twist yarn that I spun today from my pencil roving. In pic 2 is a natural colored scrap piece single twist yarn that I did a few months ago. Tonight, I core spun it on my drop spindle to create the coils you see. Planning to core spin the pink and green to use in part of my current wall hanging 🤞🏻

Made my own small round loom to try round weaving today and made a pretty flower 🌸 👍🏻 or 👎🏻?
