Eastech brings you the world's first smart wastewater grid! Wastewater solutions
Our revolutionary technology uses Micro I&I Detection, Overflow Prevention, Condition Assessment, and Model Validation to give you a state of the art 24/7 monitoring system.
What is iTracking?
Wireless Location-Based Sensors coupled with Automated Analytics offer multiple solutions applicable to proactively managing wastewater infrastructure networks based on real-time data not previously available within this context.
iTracking technology provides a smart algorithmic approach for dynamically managing wastewater conveyance networks. Low-cost wireless sensors continually feed operating performance data to an analytical software program for immediate alerting and transference to applicable management personnel within the utility group.

How to enhance your hydraulic modeling and flow monitoring studies?
1. You’ll need to get into the upper reaches of the collection network (8” and 10” pipes) where 85% of I&I resides.
2. You’ll need a cost effective smart sensor that provides real-time data 24/7.
3. You’ll need a software system that provides auto analytics and visual data analysis.
“Dynamic rainfall-runoff simulation models are the most effective way to predict the behavior
of sewer collection networks under various external loads and operating conditions. To be
effective however, these models require an accurate, continuously updated view of the
collection network.” Paul F. Boulos, Ph.D., BCEE, Hon.D.WRE, Dist.DNE, Dist.M.ASCE, NAE
“A model is only as good as the data used to create it.” Tom Walski

Spring rains cause sewer backups! Is your collection system ready?😲
Heavy rains in spring are damaging enough when flooding occurs outside and, more devastatingly, indoors.
When sewage backup happens the problem goes from bad to worse.
Now instead of just water, you’re dealing with wastewater which is a dirty, smelly mess. In addition to the ick factor – you now have potential health risks to consider for you and your family.
Sewer overflows are typically created due to a blockage. Causes include items flushed that aren’t easily broken down, tree roots that have encroached on pipes, oils/fats that were poured down a drain, or debris that has collapsed the pipe.
The iTracker Smart Wastewater technology installs in less than 15 minutes, no confined space entry, half the cost, and uses auto analytics to find problems.

Overflow & Backup Prevention?
The key to environmental compliance is to never allow the event to happen in the first place. Sanitary sewer overflows (SSOs) and basement backups, besides always having been illegal under the clean water act, are also subject to large regulatory fines.
These events can cause health hazards, damage homes and businesses, threaten the environment and pollute local waterways.
Since billions of dollars are not available for capital improvement of our wastewater infrastructure systems, Eastech has developed a low-cost cellular-based sensor capable of proactively alerting O&M personnel in real time of an impending overflow or backup weeks prior to the event actually taking place.
This immediacy in response can be critically important when faced with regulatory agency fines, distraught homeowners and potential lawsuits.

Spring time is only a couple months away!!
iTracking solves the “level sensing only” problem by adding a
series of powerful differentiation algorithms to the I&I discovery
process. The addition of these algorithms allows for subtraction
of flows between neighboring mini and micro basins resulting in
the ability to pinpoint I&I down to a set of adjacent manholes.

How do you prioritize your collection system?
I&I has proven more difficult and costly than anticipated; or the capacity of the system has become inadequate due to an increase in service population, without corresponding system upgrades.
EPA believes that every sanitary sewer system has the capacity to have an SSO. This may be due to a number of factors, including but not limited to:
• Blockages
• Structural, mechanical, or electrical failures
• Collapsed or broken sewer pipes
• Insufficient conveyance capacity
• Vandalism
Additionally, high levels of inflow and infiltration (I/I) during wet weather can cause SSOs.
Many collection system discharges from sanitary sewers reach waters within their own communities, contaminating those waterways.
EPA estimates that collection systems in the U.S. have a total replacement value between $1 to $2 trillion.
