I'm pleased to share that two of my night pieces are included in the latest show at Tohono Chul! Reception this evening with the artists from 5:30-8:00pm, and then the show runs through August 7th. Come see the works of many local artists!

From yesterday’s ! First shot has been “colorized” for added contrast - second one is the original, taken with Baader planetarium filter film. The average distance from the Sun to Mercury is 0.4 AU. Since 1 AU is the average distance from the Sun to the Earth, which is about 93 million miles, that means this is a picture of a planet approximately 55.8 million miles away from us, which is approximately 37.2 million miles in front of the star behind it. For perspective. 💕🤓🌍🌞🌌

eclipse! We got an amazing view last night - and found a new special place on Mt. Lemmon that we will definitely be returning to for night shoots! Even though there was some wispy cloud cover, it only served to make the experience more otherworldly and mysterious. I love this beautiful universe! ❤️
