Beautiful handmade purses and clutches One day I might actually start that quilt...
I rediscovered my love of sewing during the last months of my pregnancy, as a desperate bid to keep myself occupied and stop myself from eating the contents of the house. Following the arrival of my son, all thoughts of sewing were put on hold whilst I tried to work out what on earth to do with this small screaming bundle of joy. However, in one brief, possibly sleep deprived moment, I agreed to p

No motivational sayings or quotes, just me, a bucket of coffee, my porch escaping for a precious 15 minutes of alone time before the day explodes with the usual crazy

New life means new views, a new horizon, new opportunities... but there will always be coffee!!! Which is hugely needed after being jumped on at 5am by the small one asking why pandas and koalas only eat one kind of food.....

Hello there... it’s been a while.. how are you all doing? The last year has been tough. It has tested me more than I ever thought possible, but I am still standing and I was sent a beautiful reminder of how transient challenges are by the ever beautiful from the super talented in other news squooshy has moved.... I have a pile of unpacking and a much smaller space to fit all my fabric in, but I am going to be back so watch this space!!

Happy New Year!! I hope that you all had a wonderful time however you celebrated.... champagne and dancing or PJs, Netflix and hot chocolate! This New Year means a lot of new adventures for me, and it also means that with the deepest regret I am going to have to close Squooshy for the foreseeable future. I have been overstretched and I cannot with good conscience keep my shop open knowing that I cannot deliver the high quality service and customer service you guys deserve. Thank you for all your short and encouragement, you have been nothing short of phenomenal!

Happy Thanksgiving! I am sorry I have been MIA for so long, there have been some big changes at Squooshy. I have had to return to work and I am still trying to balance being the best mom I can be and help my boys get used to a huge change of me working full time. It has meant Squooshy has taken a back seat for the last few months, and honestly for a little while longer. I am thankful for you all and your support and ask that you bear with me a little longer while I navigate this transition...I still have so much I want to make and share with you....and sooooooo much fabric to use lol!

I love my husband but he clearly has no idea of my capacity to drink coffee....we ground some beans this morning to try a new blend....he put them in a jar with the date on and all I can see is a challenge 😂 in other news I should be back up and running in a few weeks with some new purses and I am looking for some creative volunteers who might want to help me out for a secret squirrel product line I am developing.....

Got to love monsoon season...this is the largest hailstone I have seen for a very long time. Smallest Squooshy was sooo excited we had to collect the bigger ones and put them in the freezer to show big brother!

I am sorry I have been missing in action for the last few months....honestly things have been a little overwhelming of late and Squooshy has had to take a backseat to focus on just making sure life continues as normal. I can’t say when or if normal service will resume at the moment because so many other things need to fall into place but for the time being Squooshy is taking a break....despite seeing a ton of new fabric that demands to be made into purses....thank you for your support and hopefully I will be back soon with new goodies

First proper day of monsoon means puddle stomping in the rain as soon it is light, mud and then glow stick baths to clean off

I actually got some sewing done today!! To celebrate I thought I’d share some of the process of how I get from fabric pieces to a finished purse. I missed out a few steps, like cutting out and handstitching because...well I only thought about doing this today while I was sewing it up! Just happy to be doing something!
