CMT Unbroken
CMT Unbroken — adaptive health coaching, honest conversation, and strength built forward in bodies that refuse to quit.

Sometimes a little adaptation can go a long way.
A new wildfire popped up after we got over an inch of rain yesterday. Surprising to see considering how wet everything still is.
Three weeks ago I started the CMT Nutrition Challenge at 257.4 pounds.
Today I’m 242.2 pounds.
That’s 15.2 pounds gone.
But the number on the scale isn’t what I’m most proud of.
During this challenge I’ve continued training for the 103-mile El Tour de Tucson, increased my strength in the gym, and recently broke 820 watts on the bike while remaining seated.
For someone with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, that’s not just weight loss. That’s improved function. That’s improved health. That’s proof that nutrition and training can work together to help us become stronger, more capable versions of ourselves.
The goal was never to get smaller.
The goal was to become stronger.
Every healthy meal is an investment in my future. Every workout is a chance to push back against a progressive neuromuscular disease. Every ride is a reminder that our limitations do not get the final say.
The challenge isn’t over.
There’s still work to do.
But halfway through Week 3, the results speak for themselves:
15.2 pounds lost.
820 watts.
Stronger. Lighter. Faster.
Still in the fight.
All we have is now.
Not tomorrow.
Not next week.
Not when things finally get easier.
Just today.
And if there’s one thing life has taught me, it’s that nothing guarantees today will be easy. There will be pain. There will be setbacks. There will be days you question whether the fight is worth it.
Keep going anyway.
Take the step.
Ride the mile.
Lift the weight.
Make the call.
Show up.
Because every time you refuse to quit, you prove that your circumstances don’t get the final say.
You do.

Believe in yourself and accomplish your impossible!
Every person on this planet has limitations.
Some are visible.
Some are hidden.
Some were handed to us at birth.
Others were earned through life’s battles.
The problem isn’t having limitations.
The problem is believing they define what you’re capable of.
For years, I’ve lived with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease. I’ve been told what I couldn’t do more times than I can count. Some of those limitations are very real. I can’t simply ignore them.
But I’ve learned something along the way:
The people who accomplish extraordinary things aren’t the ones without limitations. They’re the ones willing to challenge them.
One more rep.
One more mile.
One more attempt.
One more day refusing to quit.
You don’t have to conquer the mountain today.
Just take one step beyond what you thought was possible.
Then do it again tomorrow.
Shatter expectations.
Challenge limitations.
Become proof that there is more inside you than anyone believed.
Including yourself.
Training continues for the 103 mile El Tour De Tucson ride with Charcot Marie Tooth Disease! Relentless belief that the impossible is achievable! Have a great day!
