Today, my son harvested some of our early-maturing Anna apples and shared them with his friend next door. There’s something wonderful about growing food, but it’s even more meaningful when it’s shared with friends and neighbors. Watching him pick the apples and generously give them away reminds us that kindness grows just as beautifully as fruit.

Our family’s favorite Ichiban eggplant is ready, and my son was excited to harvest it himself! 🍆💜 Nothing beats watching kids enjoy the fruits (and vegetables!) of their hard work in the garden. Fresh, homegrown, and headed straight to the dinner table.

Eggplant is one of my son’s favorite vegetables, right alongside okra. That’s why it’s always a staple in my garden—I prefer to grow only the vegetables we love to eat.
