Barrio Performance Therapy
Creating comfortable horses through bodywork. When your horse feels their best, they perform their best.
In my earlier days as a massage therapist, I would have thought a horse walking away was trying to get away from the massage.
I must be hitting somewhere that hurts? Is too much? Am I overwhelming them?
And while these are good questions to ask - over the years I've learned... sometimes a horse just has to p**p 😂
Raven does this every session. Almost exactly 35 minutes in.
I've been working on him for a few years now so I know his routine, but it took me a while to catch on 😅
I'm convinced that we all suffer from ownership blindness, myself included 😅
I come across so many owners who don't notice the subtle (or sometimes even major!) changes in their horse's body and I think it stems from us seeing our horses every day (and loving them!).
It can be really challenging to be neutral about your own animal! 🥴
Y'ALL.
When I say MagnaWave outdid themselves.
The new M line is so cool.
Practitioners have never had this level of customization before - it was always just higher or lower, without any specifications.
Now, I have the ability to adjust the power and frequency independently of one another.
This M20 is a game changer for my practice!
NOT OSHA approved 😅

Welcome, Casey 🎉
Casey brings over 25 years of horse experience, including university studies in equine science and a unique background in exotic animal training, psychology, and elder care. She lives and breathes compassion and has a strong commitment to doing the right thing and taking care of those around her, especially our 4 legged friends.
Her decades of horse experience give her a strong understanding of equine body language, communication, and movement patterns making her naturally skilled at bodywork.

This in-depth program covers a wide range of equine massage techniques along with instruction in saddle fit, biomechanics, and supportive therapies like cupping and laser therapy.
