October is devoted to raising awareness for breast cancer and domestic violence. Pink and purple are worn simultaneously in support of each cause.

The mission of Breast Cancer Awareness Month is to offer hope while ensuring that men and women alike, have access to education, screening, treatment, support.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report that nearly 1 in 3 women and 1 in 7 men have experienced severe physical violence from an intimate partner in their lifetime. The goal of Domestic Violence Awareness Month is to aid in decreasing these numbers and to educate and find safe havens for survivors.

October is also a time that we remember those we’ve lost from breast cancer and domestic violence and to keep their memories alive through our continued efforts. Posse’s is with you all.
