Starting this page has been about making my own rules based on my values, principles, and faith. It’s not always easy to resist trends that don’t align with who I am as a Muslim, but we keep trying.

When it comes to the fast-changing world of design and art, it can definitely feel overwhelming, like you’re not good enough or your art isn’t as beautiful as someone else’s. But I try to remember that comparison is the thief of joy. It’s something I remind myself of often.

I’ve also found it helpful to limit how much time I spend on social media. As ironic as it sounds, since my business is on social media, it’s such a powerful tool to grow your business, build community, share knowledge, and find beauty. But consuming too much of it can hurt us and hold back our creativity.

Creativity and imagination have no limits but we limit them when we compare ourselves to others.

Ramadan comes and goes like a beloved guest, always arriving with mercy and leaving us with longing. SubhanAllah, it nurtures our hearts, renews our faith, and strengthens our connection to Allah. This year, may we carry its light with us—holding onto the wisdom, discipline, and devotion it instilled—until we are blessed to welcome it once again, inshaAllah. Eid Mubarak my friends. 🫶🏼
