Truck delivered earlier this week in Houma and was unloaded by the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office. We pray God multiplies the blessing of each item and those that receive it.

“Our deepest thanks to every one of you that made this happen!” - Sgt. Lauren Poiencot Soileau, Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office

THANK YOU! That 53’ trailer was really BIG but your hearts were BIGGER! 🎉

We were able to send a full truck of supplies, food, clothing, tools and lumber to Houma thanks to so many that were generous with their giving and labor.

An extra thank you to First Baptist Church of Troy, AL for hosting and providing volunteers, Wiley Sanders Truck Lines for taking care of the logistics, KW Plastics for providing the boxes, Moseley Industrial Supply for donating a pallet of paper & cleaning products and Johnson Labs, Inc. for providing discounted bulk cleaning chemicals, Lambda Chi Alpha - Troy University for collecting canned goods and providing labor, and Common Ground Troy for sharing your volunteers!

How blessed we are to bring our people and resources together so we can bless another community 💙💚💜

Hear from Cat Lott about her special connection to Houma and the network of relationships that brought us all together to organize a community collection.

Thank you First Baptist Church of Troy, AL for hosting our collection and for providing this video that tells about one of our special connections God orchestrated from Troy, AL to Houma, LA.

On August 29, the 16th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Ida made landfall in Louisiana. While most of us watched to see if the levees in New Orleans would sustain the Category 4 storm, the city of Houma was left devastated.

Six weeks later, the people of Houma are still in need of a lot of basic supplies and services. Families are living in tents and whole neighborhoods are still lacking power and running water.

FEMA trailers just showed up last week and locals say it feels like a third world country somedays.

These pictures were taken within the last week and it’s obvious there is still alot of need. The community cannot get supplies or get their homes and businesses repaired because a shortage of supplies, gas and labor.

A Wiley Sanders Truck Lines truck will be making a delivery directly from Troy to the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Headquarters next week. Now we need our community’s help to fill the truck!

Please review the requested supply list to see what you can provide (new or used in good condition) and please help us spread the word.
