We love receiving check-ins from adopted pets! ❤️
We were honored to help with this private adoption from start to finish. This kept Cash out of the overcrowded shelter, (where he was originally adopted from). After receiving an application from the potential adopter, we completed our screening process to ensure it was a great match.
Once approved, the amazing foster arranged a meet-and-greet with the other dogs, and the rest is history!
Seeing happy endings like this reminds us why we do what we do. Thank you to the foster for their dedication and to the adopter for giving this lucky pup the loving home they deserve. 🐾🏡

Update: Transport has been found!
TRANSPORT HELP NEEDED 🚗
We are looking for a volunteer transporter to help three animals get safely to SAVE.
📍 Pickup: Two separate residences in Trenton, NJ
📍 Drop-off: SAVE Animal Shelter
1010 Belle Mead-Blawenburg Rd, Skillman, NJ 08558
🗓 Transport Needed: Friday, Saturday, or Sunday
⏰ Between: 10:30 AM – 3:00 PM
The animals include:
🐱 A sweet 1-year-old cat needing a new home
🐶 Two small dogs (transport details can be coordinated)

Another dog neglected silently behind closed doors in Trenton
Please Help Us Help Luna 💔
Sometimes one person’s kindness can change a life. A local woman recently saw a post advertising a dog for sale. She immediately wanted to help, but unfortunately someone else had already gotten her. When that person later decided they no longer wanted to keep her, this compassionate woman stepped in and purchased her to ensure she was safe.
That dog is Luna.
Luna is a sweet poodle who has clearly suffered from years of neglect. We have learned that she spent much of her life confined to a basement. She is severely matted and is suffering from infections, dental issues, and other medical concerns that are now being addressed.
Despite everything she has endured, Luna is slowly learning that not all humans are bad. Thanks to the angel who rescued her, she is finally experiencing love, safety, and kindness.
Luna will need extensive ongoing grooming, veterinary care, dental treatment, and ongoing medical attention. We would love to help ease the financial burden on her rescuer so Luna can receive everything she needs to heal and thrive.

This cutie pie is Belle!
Belle is estimated to be about 2 years old and she is currently at Trenton Animal Shelter. Belle performed well throughout her assessment and demonstrated friendly, social behavior with people. However, she did not interact appropriately with other dogs and should be placed as the only dog in the home.
Overall, Belle presents as a good adoption candidate and would likely thrive in a home where she can receive plenty of attention and companionship from her people.

Meet Sunshine, one of the senior pups at the shelter!
Sunshine performed well throughout her behavioral assessment and showed positive responses on all completed test items. During her dog-to-dog evaluation, she was very forward and enthusiastic in her interactions. While she may be able to live with another dog, she appears likely to be selective about her canine companions and would need to be carefully matched with a calm, tolerant dog.
Sunshine otherwise appeared friendly and social with people and is considered a strong candidate for adoption. ☀️🐾

This handsome boy is Hurricane was just pulled from ACCT Philly by Height of Hope Senior Dog Rescue with a chronic open wound on his neck that needs immediate medical attention.
As you can see from the photos, Hurricane has a severe open wound on his neck/face area (visible tissue, bleeding, missing fur — it's bad). He also has patchy, irritated skin on his legs and body, likely from prolonged untreated issues. Despite everything, he's calm, gentle, and looking at us with those tired eyes like he knows he's finally safe.
He needs:
• Veterinary evaluation and treatment for the open wound (cleaning, possibly sutures, antibiotics)
• Ongoing wound care to prevent infection
• Skin treatment for his other irritated areas
• A safe, warm place to rest and recover (which he is getting in his foster home!)
We're asking for donations to Height of Hope to cover Hurricane's medical bills. Every dollar goes directly to vet care — wound treatment, medication, and follow-up visits.
Let's show Hurricane what it means to be loved. He's fought hard to get this far — let's help him cross the finish line. 🐾
