Over the past two weeks, we have gotten an overflowing amount of support from all of the Torrington community. Your kindness and support is what pushes us!
We have gotten donations from two outstanding citizens of Torrington, safety supplies that will help curb the hazards we face during our cleanups, and help us to access areas we could not access before.
So shoutouts to:
Anthony Paganini (2nd photo), owner of Paganiâs Detailing Services LLC (860-201-6195)
and Jill (3rd photo), who donated a whopping 1,000 pair of gloves!
Tomorrow morning we are having a cleanup at the overpass near Oliver Wolcott High, so expect to see these supplies in full force! Again, thank you to all the people who make up this community, as you push us to move forward!
If you would like to donate yourself, feel free to catch us as our cleanups or drop them off to Taste of Thailand and say it is for âjadenâ.

On August 25, 2024, 3 youth members of our organization cleaned up 140 LBS of trash behind the wooden fences of the Target parking lot. (7 bags total, 515 LBS of trash collected total since our organizationâs founding)
In all of our cleanups, this by far has to have been one of the worst places we have cleaned up, having dense litter and various bottles of alcohol. There was dense foliage everywhere, and despite the thick clothes, we were consistently being caught up in thorn bushes and had to watch out for shattered glass.
Despite this, our members pushed through and cleaned as much as they could. In addition to the trash, a broken fence door along with 2 miscellaneous planks of wood were found which we were unable to haul home with our equipment. In the end, we are satisfied to have cleaned up all we did.
We hauled our trash to a dumpster, proudly provided by our sponsor, Taste of Thailand (@ 19 McDermott Ave, Torrington CT 06790). Huge thanks to them for letting us dispose of all our trash since our second cleanup. Go check them out, they have decent Thai food and drinks! Youâll also be supporting us indirectly by going there, haha. âŧïļ

On July 11th, 2024, 100 LBS of trash was cleaned from the Naugatuck River by 4 our youth members. (60 LBS displayed, 40 LBS not photographed). In total, we have collected 375 LBS of trash since the founding of our group.
We split into two groups who cleaned in 2 different sessions, one of 3 members (not photographed) and 1 of a single person. We worked our way from the Teen Center all the way to East Main.
Most notably, a single member cleaned 5 bags of trash alone after finding what seemed to be an encampment under a bridge. After the discovery, a vehicle was promptly called to haul the trash and alcohol cans, but the encampment was left untouched in case someone lived there.
