First Sears, 3M now Alcoa RIGHT HERE IN NEW YORK - terminating retiree benefits including life insurance!

This is why it’s so important to have a policy outside of your employer. Now these poor people are older, possibly with health issues and it will be difficult for them to qualify for a private policy. If they do obtain a policy it would be based off their current age because they didn’t lock in when they were young and healthy.
