On Monday, Cadet Jazmine Morales-Bermudez was promoted to the rank of Corporal. She has demonstrated leadership throughout her time in the program and her commitment and dedication cannot go unnoticed. Congratulations! Capital Challenge 2023 🏆 Our explorer post is excited to once again host 14 teams from across the region! Tomorrow will be a busy day for a lot of explorers but those trophies are what pushes them to do their best! Good luck everyone!

The Explorers are in Gatlinburg, Tennessee for the Boy Scouts of America’s Winterfest. The Explorers will be representing our Post, our Topeka Police Department, and our City. Before we go out in public, we make sure our uniforms are in pristine condition. Explorer Mayra Rodriguez had a MAJOR uniform violation that needed immediate fixing. Ya see, Explorer Rodriguez was selected to fill a vacant Corporal / squad leader position and needed her uniform to reflect it. Surprise! Corporal Rodriguez has more than earned this promotion and will serve our Post well. CONGRATS MAYRA.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT The Topeka Police Explorers will be hosting an open house on January 25th, 2020 from 10 am to 1 pm. The Explorer Open House will be at the Topeka Police Department. Anyone interested in our Post will get the opportunity to see the type of training and events our Explorers participate in. Applications will be handed out and accepted at the open house. WHAT A WEEKEND! Our Explorers are headed back from the Texas Law Enforcement Explorer Advisor Assocation’s (TLEEAA) annual competition. This event is comprised mostly of Texas Posts, in fact we were only one of two non-Texas teams. The Explorers have spent the last 5 weeks studying Texas state laws to prepare for this event and it paid off! After only placing in two events last year, our 2019 Explorers are bring home 6 trophies. Three of those trophies are 1st place in Mental Health Response, Officer Down Response, and Traffic Stop. This is a huge competition and the Advisors of the post are thrilled with the Explorers performance.
