Washburn University's Day of Giving #AllforWU Join us as we celebrate all Washburn University does for its students!
Dear Friends of Washburn University Office of International Programs,
Our office is joining Washburn University in raising money for Day of Giving on Thursday, Feb. 1, to support “Passport for All”. This project is important to us because it will directly benefit WU students who participate in international education study abroad programs.
As International Educators, we have seen firsthand the impact having a passport can have on our students’ education and their futures. Your gift on Feb. 1 will have a lasting impact and the potential to transform students’ education.
We hope you will make plans to give to “Passport for All”. You can check it out now at

To celebrate International Education Week, here's an update from a former student! Washburn University - Department of Mass Media alumni Eriko Hiranoi worked as a location sound recording assistant and boom operator on the film “(Ab)normal Desire” in her home country of Japan. The film recently turned heads at the Tokyo International Film Festival, earning an Audience Award and the award for best director.
Eriko recently texted her former film professor, Dr. Matt Nyquist, that "working in the real film industry has been my dream since I was at Washburn University, so I would like to say thank you for teaching me to make my dream come true!"
