Kindness can be a simple smile, asking someone how they are doing, holding the door, or offering help to others. It is something that even the deaf can hear and the blind can see! One simple act of kindness can improve ones view of the world in seconds. Be someone's Optimism today and everyday. Not only will it boot your mood and confidence, it will help others too!

“I want a life that sounds like a Jane
Austen ‘Pride And Prejudice’ soundtrack
full of calm and exciting notes.
To have the bottom of my skirt be
covered in six inches of mud.
To feel the warm sun on my face and
breath in the cool morning air.
To take a stroll by the ocean cliffside and
watch the waves roll in.
To sip on a warm cup of herbal tea that
has been steeped to perfection.
To sit on a swing through all four seasons.
To have heart-bonding friendships that
will last a lifetime.
To feel true love at first touch.
To meet the gaze of my lover in early
morning light.
To craft and use my hands skillfully.
To sit in candlelight.
To watch the world from
frost-bitten windows.”

I have to admit this might be my most favorite list of ideas. It makes me feel warm and happy just thinking of ways to create lovely, useful, and beautiful things through cooking, baking, art, crafting, and any other number of cozy hobbies.

1. Make homemade scones and enjoy them with clotted cream, strawberry jam, and a hot cup of tea.

2. Make birdseed ornaments and give some as gifts.

3. Glue dried flowers to a glass jar.

4. Enjoy a lavender oatmeal bath soak.

Believe it or not adult loneliness occurs mostly in young adults 18-24 years old. It is linked to childhood trauma and the effects can last a lifetime.
Finding trusting relationships, recognizing our feelings, and break the habit of pushing away or avoid situations, will help overcome our loneliness.

Lets talk about EXPECTATIONS!
Setting a standard expectations for every child in the household may not work.
Every child is different. Each child learns at a different pace and some need extra guidance.
Some children aren't at the same level or pace as their peers or siblings close to their age. Some may have different emotional or social needs.
Having the same set of expectations for all of the children in your home may make it more challenging for you and the littles. It's important to look at where your child is developmentally and choose how to practice the appropriate expectations with them. It will make life easier for both you and your child and it will show significant progress in their coping, listening, and social skills!

Free play, What is it? Let me answer that or you!
Free play is unstructured play, child-initiated play, that allows them to use their imagination to discover the world around them.
It's spontaneous play that naturally comes from the child's curiosity.

This physical activity boots positive feelings, teaches children how to navigate conflict, expends cooped energy, and most of all, creates normalcy and promotes healing.
