Looking to the future, our office is emphasizing the importance of career development efforts in meeting the needs of our students and the broader community. Congratulations Max! Glad to hear that Handshake helped you find what’s next!
Students, make sure you are using ALL of your resources to help you find your next destination!
Congratulations to our graduating peer educator, Max Taylor!
What clubs and organizations are you part of?
I am a part of Peer Educators, Board game club, Alpha Lamba Delta, and Phi Kappa Phi.
What is a favorite memory from your time as a peer educator?
I would say that my favorite moment as a peer educator was when I was having my WU101 students come talk with me for the check ins and during that time I was able to get close with quite a few of them and I got to hear how they came to Washburn and what has been going on in their lives. It felt great to connect with them and then I was also able to help them figure out the track they wanted to go down when choosing their courses and the activities to get involved in here at Washburn.
What’s up next for you?
I have secured a job through Handshake at a company called Spring Venture Group located in Kansas City and I plan to start working there in June.
On behalf of all of your friends and supporters in the Center for Student Success/Mabee Library and FYE, congratulations to you, Max!
We are so proud of our CEO Intern, Rachel for presenting about her internship at Apeiron today! Great job, Rachel and thank you for being a part of our team!
