Presto-changeover! We needed more space. We have been waiting, hoping a bigger spot would come available before we moved from our building in NOTO. Even though it took two moves, we loved our spot at the bottom of the stairs Topeka Vendors Market. But we were limited on furniture space in our narrow booth. In case you are just getting to know us "Girls", our passion is finding or creating unique and often one of a kind pieces. This XL Bunny is definitely one of our funnest finds. He is a paper mache sculpture then adorned with pieces of damaged children Golden Books. Awesome Easter/spring decor, or a friend to ride around with - believe us, looks and responses from cars next to you at the stoplight is interesting! (Seat belt him in, he isn't heavy!) Nicely framed painted Barn Quilts of various sizes available at 4 Girls' Garage booth, bottom of the stairs . Shop every Thursday anf Friday 10-6, and Saturdays 10-4. Huge variety and many Vendors to check out!

Completing the project ride! The inspiration for this piece was a recent "15thish viewing" of "Breakfast at Tiffany's" movie. Audrey Hepburn is an icon! The jewelry armoire was a very nice solid wood piece thst just needed a little TLC. The armoire was repaired, sanded, cleaned with Krud Krutter, washed with water/Dawn, then again with just water, primed, painted with Miss Lillian Paints- a combination of "Snowflake" and "Tiffany Blue"Chock Paint -two coats,then Pearl Mettalic paint 2 coats, then 3 coats Satin Luster Finish coats. The hardware was soaked in Water/White Vinegar/ and Dawn then scrubbed with fine steel wool, rinsed with water and dried thoroughly. Sides of drawers and base were applied with rose design tissue with Mod Podge. A favorite Audrey Hepbun quote was handwritten on the mirror side tissue paper application. This was such a fun, inspirational project. This is our passion and we appreciate that you like our vision in reimaging good furniture pieces. Thank you Topeka for appreciating what we do! Recycle, Reuse, Redo! This piece sold quickly and we so appreciate your support!

Hello friends! Come along on a creative ride today. Reimaging a furniture piece is truly an adventure. Your original plans often change depending on needed repairs, what the piece looks like after numerous cleaning processes, paint hue and finish coats on the piece, and then if course the final jewelry -the hardware refurbishing or replacing! We often talk about how ugly the first coat of paint or primer can look. Big mistake to apply thick coat to try to cover which is ever so tempting. Patience and thin coats will lead you to happiness with your finished project. We truly believe in rescuing vintage, or any age solid, unique furniture pieces. Finally completely moved. We didn't forget our paint!

We Girls have enjoyed our semi retirement traveling and being Grandmas this last year. But we decided we love to shop and create too much to totally give it up. So we have moved to Topeka Vendors Market at 528 SE Adams near Ramada Inn, and a very short distance from our beloved NOTO. It is a huge brick warehouse with lots of fun shopping and a cute cafe.
