This June and July, stop by King Soopers off of 13525 Quebec St. in Thornton and purchase a Fight Hunger reusable bag. With every bag sold, $1 is donated to Food for Hope to help provide food and support to local children and families facing food insecurity.

Through the King Soopers Zero Hunger Zero Waste initiative, giving back is as easy as checking an item off your shopping list. Small actions can make a big impact when we come together as a community.

What is Food for Hope up to this Summer?

We are partnering with Adams 12 Five Star Schools Student Family Outreach Program helping to pack food boxes for local families who are food insecure. Many of these families would normally be getting food programming from us during the school year, so we are happy that we can still help to support them.

Thank you to our volunteers for continuing their important work during the summer!

🦄 Lace up and join the Unicorn 5K Fun Run with 3W Races on Saturday, June 20 at Carpenter Park Fields off of 108th and Colorado Boulevard! 🦄

Walk, trot, canter, or gallop your way through this fun, family-friendly event while helping support Food for Hope and local families facing food insecurity. ❤️

Participants receive a Unicorn 5K T-shirt and finisher medal, plus enjoy balloon creations, costumes, and plenty of fun along the way!

We will be accepting donations of unopened, unexpired snack items, such as granola bars and protein bars, with expiration dates after September 2026. Please note that we will be phasing out food donations at future races.

Camina, trota o corre a tu propio ritmo en este divertido evento para toda la familia mientras apoyas a Food for Hope y a las familias locales que enfrentan inseguridad alimentaria. ❤️

Los participantes recibirán una camiseta oficial de Unicorn 5K y una medalla de finalista, además de disfrutar de creaciones con globos, disfraces y mucha diversión durante todo el recorrido.

Aceptaremos donaciones de aperitivos sin abrir y cuya fecha de caducidad sea posterior a septiembre de 2026, tales como barras de granola y barras de proteína. Les informamos que iremos eliminando gradualmente la recepción de donaciones de alimentos en futuras carreras.
