Ward Leonard recently had the pleasure of hosting Courtney Wolfe, Manager of Supply Chain & Engagement for PEO SSBN Submarine Industrial Base, and Conor Gagliardi, Marketplace Lead for SUPSHIP Groton-160C. It was a great opportunity to discuss Ward Leonard’s capabilities to support submarines, workforce development, and submarine sustainment.
It is always exciting to showcase our operations and discuss the many products that Fairbanks Morse Defense offers, as well as identify new opportunities to benefit and support the US Navy.

Ward Leonard has received the award of a quantity of 11, 125HP/1800RPM electric motors from Rolls Royce Naval Marine valued at $1,150,000. This equipment is in support of the U.S. Navy’s DDG51 Program at both BIW and HII-Ingalls shipyards. The Ward Leonard motors drive a hydraulic pump used on the controlled pitch propeller(CPP) system on these destroyers. Ward Leonard has been supporting the builds in this vessel class with these motors since the start of the program with DDG51 and currently through DDG142.
