The last few weeks we worked on a couple of Christmas trees for the Helping Hands Tree event that host ms which donates decorated trees for Texas Children’s Hospital. We participated last year and we couldn’t wait for this event this year. We had so much fun and our minion tree was awarded best tree out of the “Totally out of the Tree” category. We are already brainstorming for next year!

Chambers County Children’s Museum Receives $100,000 Grant From The Moody Foundation

(Mont Belvieu, TX) – The developing Chambers County Children’s Museum has received a generous grant to aid in the construction of their facility. The Moody Foundation has committed $100k to help construct the Theatre. The Theatre, a 660 sq ft space located alongside Main Street on the Museum exhibit floor, is an integral part of the guest experience. Accommodating 46 guests, the Theatre is a dedicated space to foster pretend play inspired by a raised stage, specialized lighting, flexible seating, and a full set of props and costumes.

The Moody Foundation, a charitable foundation based in Galveston, has focused on empowering Texas communities to thrive and prosper for over 75 years. “We are so thankful to The Moody Foundation for funding the construction of our Theatre”, says Melody Kraus, Executive Director. “These monies will ensure a space within the Museum to cultivate innovation in dramatic play and presentation as guests explore new characters, settings and stories”.

Construction on the Chambers County Children’s Museum began in earnest in early July. The $4m renovation at 10955 Eagle Drive, Mont Belvieu is slated to finish shortly after the end of the year. The Museum (and Theatre) is working to open to the public in February of 2023.

This week MWTA attended the Ground Breaking Ceremony for Chambers County Children's Museum. It'll be the first of it's kind in the city of Mont Belvieu. What used to be a grocery store will become a place where children can play and learn simultaneously about art, science, the economy, finance, and so much more!

Our latest residential design features an upscale barn inspired home on private acreage that takes advantage of the beautiful lake views. The vision was a low maintenance home where the couple could retire to and host their family as it grows over the years. Click on the link to take a look around!

Exciting News! Chambers County Children's Museum will hold their Ground Breaking Ceremony on June 20th. Be sure to stop by if you're in the area.

The Chambers County Children’s Museum is excited to celebrate our Ground Breaking ceremony Monday, June 20th at 10:30a.m. at 10955 Eagle Drive in Mont Belvieu TX. The Museum will be created in the old Thrif-Tee grocery store building which has been donated to the Museum by the facility owner with a 15 year free lease. The Museum has raised $3.4 million towards a campaign goal of $4 million to fund the renovations that will begin later this month.

About the Chambers County Children’s Museum:
Founded in August 2019, the Chambers County Children’s Museum “seeks to inspire discovery through innovation, hands-on experiences and exploratory play”. The Chambers County Children’s Museum is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization in the state of Texas with a Board of Directors comprised of 12 community leaders who are passionate about bringing play-centered learning to Chambers County. The explosive growth of the area, primarily made of young families, is driving the need for more family and kid-centered activities and programs. The Chambers County Children’s Museum strives to fill that need by
bringing unparalleled exhibits and experiences to our Chambers County Community.

In November of 2019, the CCCM Board of Directors partnered with Mayes Middleton, the new owner of the now empty Thrif-Tee Food Center building located at 10955 Eagle Drive in the heart of Mont Belvieu, TX for a free 15-year lease on the facility and grounds. By the Spring of 2021, the museum completed an extensive analysis of the current state of the building and began work with Mark W. Todd Architects to determine the specifics of the building’s renovations and the museum’s design. Once completed, the Chambers County Children’s Museum will be the only organization within a 45-mile radius that provides a unique learning experience specifically designed for children and their families. Currently, Chambers County families have limited leisure enrichment destinations in the area, especially when weather prohibits outdoor
activities. The Chambers County Children’s Museum is working hard to be open to the public by Winter of 2022.

Thanks for letting us participate in your annual tree decorating event to benefit the Texas Children’s Hospital. Our team chose to do a Toy Story theme. We can’t wait until someone gets to take it home and enjoy it!

Another kitchen remodel underway! Lightening up the cabinets really help open up the space and make it appear larger.

We have had the honor of working with God's Garage , an organization that repairs cars that are then donated to single mothers who are in need of one. They also provide life skill classes that help them grow along their journey. We look forward to seeing this project develop.
