Finishing touches going into this gorgeous bathroom remodel after some serious frozen pipe damage this past winter . This house had 6 bedrooms so our empty nester clients gave up a bedroom to expend their bathroom and closet. The round window used to be hidden in their old closet but it has come full circle to become the focal point of the newly renovated bathroom!

Today was one of those days that makes all that we do worth it!
This master bedroom fireplace wall represents the joy of the completion of a design vision! A year and a half ago, I stood in this room staring at a puzzle piece.
How do we get the fabulous space our wonderful homeowners crave when we have a ceiling that just does not want to cooperate with the dream?
My team and I set out to find a way! There is a specialty fireplace that was a huge part in helping to make our client’s dream a reality which required lots of planning and many a meeting. Then we created a bit of storage while staying clear of a window, a niche for art, added illumination then wrapped the walls to complete a space with all the Zen feels!
The final piece was the custom wallcovering for the focal wall – the fireplace – which was just installed! Covid may have tried to keep this day from happening but it all came together with a little perseverance! Maybe a bit later than planned, maybe a second wallcovering background selected due to availability, maybe a long wait for the perfect wallcovering installer and maybe the best clients one could ask for who were ever so patient!
But today, it was all worth it because our client’s dream (and ours) became a reality!

We spent two years planning and going through the construction of this home with our sweet client who grew up in Louisiana. She wanted to bring a feeling of her upbringing into their new home so we added brick accent walls and dark beams just to name few.⁠

Hope is a feeling found with the arrival of 2021!

Looking back at 2020 with a grateful heart for lessons learned and for the great accomplishments! Even with all of its many, many challenges!

It’s a new year and I am the same old me but the same old me with great goals for our team! I have always found the start of the New Year to be so inspiring. So today I am focused on being thankful for 2020 and setting goals both personally and professionally for 2021.

Spending time with family is good for my soul!

The challenges of this year sure have made it difficult to see our oldest son and his wife, so we are extra thankful to have them here with us. It’s a long drive from California to Texas!

Instead of our usual Christmas time adventures like bowling and viewing the latest movie at the theater we are hanging at home for quite time. Turns out these quiet times are a silver lining and something I am ever so grateful for.

Our clients wanted a grand entry to their powder bath so their guests felt like royalty when visiting their home. We worked closely together with our clients during the consturction of their home with this space being one intricate piece of the puzzle. ⁠

We set out planning, choosing each piece of trim and drawing up the space to make sure we had captured their vision. After a few revisions on paper, we turned it over to the trim carpenters and painters to execute! ⁠

One of the greatest joys of design is seeing our vision come to life!⁠
