🆕 UPDATE: As we look ahead to the New Year, our highest priority is to continue to ensure the health and safety of our students, families, and staff.

We are putting additional health and safety measures in place to ensure students and staff are safe and that our schools can continue to be open.

To safely resume in-person learning on January 3, we are strongly encouraging all students and staff to get tested and get vaccinated prior to the resumption of classes, and will expand in-school testing and deploy millions of at-home rapid tests that allow students remain in-person learning in-school.

The changes we are announcing today aim to keep students in our classrooms with the least amount of disruption as possible, while putting their safety front and center.

Please visit schools.nyc.gov/messagesforfamilies to learn more. We will continue to update you as the situation changes and hear your feedback on these updated policies and procedures.
