In collaboration with 18 community gardens and NYBG’s Edible Academy, Bronx Green-Up created the Bronx Community Farm Hubs at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. These neighborhood gardens and farms, predominantly run by volunteers, have come together to support food production and distribution in their communities. Looks like the garden is getting back up to speed! Fortunately, our Serrano Pepper beds did not sustain any damage from falling trees or the storm in general. A big thank you to garden members Florence, Shari, Diane, and Marilyn for their help with today's harvest. Rivers Run is submitting the 6 lbs 13 oz of peppers we picked to Small Axe Peppers (manufacturer of "The Bronx Hot Sauce") bringing our total submitted for this year to 21 pounds to date!
Another big thank you to all the ladies and gentlemen who came out today to clear the paths and stray debris that will allow us to access our beds!!
